Positive: We had a wonderful stay — the accommodation was in a quiet location with easy access to Lagos’ historic district. The unit was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we especially loved having the bikes and pool to enjoy. Communication with the host was smooth and easy throughout our stay.

Summary: It’s definitely a place we’d be happy to stay again.

Positive: The location, position and facilities are fantastic. Located only minutes from the marina, a supermarket, the beach and the train station the apartment is perfectly situated. More kitchen utilities than you know what to do with. Numerous pots, pans, plates, cutlery, glasses and utensils with a new electric BBQ. South facing the balcony got the sun from 0830 until sundown, perfect for privacy with no one overlooking. Aircon in living room and bedroom keep hole apartment cool if required. The bed was very comfortable, probably the best we've had in hotels or apartments, the bedroom has a triple wardrobe for use plus a six drawer cabinet and two bedside cabinets. Lots of storage space.

Negative: The cleaners had done little to the apartment on arrival. We needed in early but in two hours all they seem to have done is empty the fridge, change the bedding and towels and given it a very quick hoover. Hadn't cleaned the taps or steal wear in the bathroom. When they returned during the holiday they were better.

Positive: We are very humbled by the sincere generosity of the host. A big thank you to Jose. We've never come across a host or an apartment that offers so much—everything was catered for, making it truly a home from home. The pictures do not do it justice—it is much larger in reality. We did not get to use the many appliances and conveniences provided, but they were very much appreciated. The apartment is in a peaceful and safe location with easy parking, just a 2-minute drive or 10-minute walk from the Marina. I don’t have much to add to the already glowing reviews, but I completely agree with them. One day the temperature reached 32°C, yet we didn’t need to use the air conditioning—the apartment’s location and design keep it naturally cool and shaded. To add a small point for balance: I’d recommend placing an underlay or mat gripper beneath the kitchen rug to prevent it from slipping. It’s by no means essential, just a very minor suggestion. Thanks again Jose, and we both wish you the very best.

Positive: From start to finish’s the host was very helpful. The appartment exceeded all pictures and the location was perfect 10 mins to the marina and the beach and a nice walk to the old town. The bikes were a welcomed extra and nice rides near the beach. The appartment provides everything you could possibly want and more a well maintained pool as well.

Negative: Nothing an absolute perfect appartment.

Summary: Perfect appartment and host and the area is lovely especially the old town.

Positive: Everything great accommodation in a great position with every thing you could possibly need for a stay. Bed was very comfortable and the Egyptian cotton sheets were fantastic and kept you cool. Easy contact with the owner and nothing was too much trouble. Will be back as soon as we are able.

Positive: The apartment is very modern and spacious with everything and more that you will need for your stay in Lagos. We especially enjoyed using the balcony to take in the views to the town and the sea. The pool garden area is also really nice for relaxing in. The walks to the town and beach are flat and quite manageable distances. If you prefer there are good local buses in Lagos with a stop nearby if walking is more difficult.

Negative: Nothing negative to say about the property.

Summary: Great visit to Casa Marques, I would definitely return here again.
