Positive: The location was remote, but that was what we liked about it. Its situated in a small village in the mountains and its so beautiful the view, the village, the locals. Amazing location. And the house is huge ans very well furnished. It was like something out of an 18th century novel, in a good way.

Negative: There was only one bathroom, for all the people. We were in 5, so that was an issue.

Summary: An amazing, cute, peaceful retreat in the mountains, ideal for a relaxed vacation.

Positive: We were already here for the second time and loved it as much as the first time. This house is no regular holiday apartment, it is someone’s home and you can feel it because while you’re there, it is YOUR home away from home. There is so much art in the house, it is wonderful to see, and we felt privileged to be able to enjoy it. Even though the weather was not ideal, as it quite often seems to be the case , we had a wonderful time in the house as it is extremely cozy. Gurro is quite an unusual town as it has a long Scottish heritage. This cannot be really felt, but we concluded it actually is the weather which is definitely Scottish here no matter the season.

Negative: While the house is really very fairly priced, I wonder if it would even enjoy more visitors if the prices would reflect also the number of guests who are renting …?

Summary: Like a live-in museum, this is a place frozen in time
