Positive: We have travelled to Italy many times over the years, but this stay was, without any doubt, our number one – truly the best accommodation we have ever experienced. From the very first moment, everything exceeded our expectations. The villa is not just called a villa – it truly is one. The spaces are incredibly generous, with large, beautiful rooms that give you a sense of comfort and freedom. Everything was spotlessly clean, maintained to an exceptional standard that immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease. What made this place even more special is that it didn’t feel like a rental at all – it felt like a real home. Every tiny detail was thoughtfully prepared: from batteries in the remote controls to mosquito repellent, everything you could possibly need was already there. It’s rare to find a place so perfectly equipped. The jacuzzi and the pool were absolutely perfect and fully usable, adding a true luxury experience to our stay. The private, closed parking inside the yard was another huge advantage, making everything easy and stress-free. We were also incredibly grateful for the kindness and flexibility of the hosts. The communication with both the owner and the housekeeper was lightning fast, always helpful, and genuinely kind. Being allowed to check in earlier meant a lot to us, especially after a long journey – thank you again for that. A special mention must go to how truly dog-friendly this place is. Our small dog felt completely comfortable, with a safe, secure garden where he could run freely and happily. That kind of peace of mind is priceless for a family like ours. The villa is also perfectly suited even for larger families or multiple groups – there are plenty of tables and seating areas, making shared moments easy and enjoyable. And of course, the surroundings are simply stunning. Being in the Lucca area is a dream in itself – peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly located.

Positive: We've stayed at perhaps 10 villas, and this was by far the best. Really good value for the space and quality. Big kitchen; great lounge; pool is small but perfectly formed; each room has a different theme and each is beautiful. We like walking / running, and the backroads to villages were great (just be aware that there's not much in terms of destinations e.g., restaurants), including walks up the hills - you could hike for many, many miles.

Negative: If you don't have a car, then you need to be careful to walk on the back roads; the main roads are pavementless and fast. There's not much in vicinity on foot, but enough for good walkers (e.g., small shop 10 mins; supermarket 1hr 20); difficult to get taxis for non-long journeys. Bedroom aircon is loud.

Summary: Beautiful villa in beautiful location; just be aware that it's remote if you're walking

Positive: Exquisitely beautiful inside and out. 4 king-sized bedrooms each with A/C. Gorgeous interior design highlighted by original and new architectural features. Lovely hot tub and pool. Louise, the manager always available providing local color and much useful info. One of the best stays we have experienced in ours years of travel.
