Positive: Lupita was a fabulous host from start to finish. She was in regular communication and shared events with me that were happening in the city. The room was very large and had everything you might need to get comfortable during your stay (whether you’d like to cook in the kitchen or unpack and hang up your clothes). I also loved the location.

Negative: I’m just sharing so others can be aware: Guanajuato is pretty noisy, so I recommend ear plugs. There was also a bad smell in the bathroom. I have encountered this throughout my travels in Mexico, but just an fyi in case you are sensitive to smells.

Positive: Very good location. Steps to GU. Very nice host . She gives me some recommendations and let me check earlier. It is quite cheap but you have your own room , shower, not only a bunk bed in a hostel.

Negative: No.

Positive: We are lucky to select Casa Jasso to stay in Guanajuato. The hosts, Lupita and Oscar as very nice and caring. They tried to provide every possible help and guiding to us. Very appreciate what they did. Location is great! Minutes walk to central area. Room is clean, tidy, cozy and quite It worth the value. We enjoyed beautiful breakfast prepared by hosts. Impressive!

Positive: Friendly onsite owner, provided everything I needed. Quiet residential area, a convenient store, small restaurants, street foods steps away, walking distance, a bit hilly, common here, from most of centrally located places.

Negative: Hot shower, for most of travellers will be ok with warm water, given warm to hot Guanajuato weather year round, personally prefer hot water.

Positive: The room is like a private apartment with terrace. It's huge and I never saw any other guests or the owner. It's like a sectioned off part of a house. The location is up a hill so it can be tricky if you have lots of luggage. It's a very short walk to town and it's really much better to not be right in the centre for noise. The complimentary breakfast was nice. I would stay there again for the privacy alone.

Negative: I have never heard so many neighbourhood and street dogs in my life. They were so noisy from early morning. There are also church bells that toll every 30-45 minutes from early in the day. Still, being exhausted I was able to get back to sleep, and I'm a light sleeper. There was no mirror in the bathroom.

Summary: Excellent location and privacy besides the barking dogs
