Positive: Pool was great with amazing views. The apartment was beautifully furnished and had daily cleaning. Set amongst the forest there was plenty of wildlife on show. Montezuma was super chilled - we loved it

Positive: The caretaker was a great guy very helpful. The place was beautiful. Lovely view, wonderful really. Truly amazing.

Negative: They had a policy that didn’t allow you to have locals over. It was a racist policy and it made my stay inconvenient. I have many Costa Rican friends and I wanted to have them over for drinks, dinner etc. Their policy strictly forbid it. That was my only issue with the place. Otherwise it was a fabulous place. Wonderful staff and facilities.

Positive: We absolutely adored staying in Casa Frangipani. The apartment was beautiful, lots of space and a large balcony looking into the jungle. Every evening and morning we could hear the howler monkeys ❤️. The host Rebeca was so accommodating and helpful. We also loved Montezuma which was just a few minutes drive. I was so sad to leave, I wish we could have stayed longer!

Positive: I stayed at Casa Frangipani fourteen years ago for a month and loved my time there. I wanted to stay there again on my last trip to Costa Rica in April 2023. It was as beautiful as the first time. The property is meticulously maintained by Johnson. It is very quiet and peaceful with stunning views. The casas are very comfortable and clean and the outside shower is pure bliss. I would highly recommend Casa Frangipani.

Negative: The website said there is a shuttle from town up the hill to Casa Frangipani. That was not in operation during my stay there and possibly not for some time. I did not rent a vehicle and taxis to and from town are fairly expensive if you don't want to walk. The hill is fairly steep.
