Positive: Our host was a lovely woman who lives by the property. She is incredibly sweet and very accommodating. The space was well equiped and cozy. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. In a good spot in proximity to the town of Quepos. Very quiet as well. There are dogs nearby but they are in fenced yards.

Negative: The location was a bit hard to get to as its has narrow roads between homes, however our host sent us directions and photos to navigate the area. Besure to have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle with good clearance as some spots on the road are in need of repair.

Negative: The hill to get to/from the apartment was a killer as we didn’t have a car.

Positive: Lovely kind owners. Went out of their way to make us feel at home and to show us the birds in the trees across the valley from the house - even pointing out a sloth in the tree above the house and letting us know when it moved to eat! Very clean little apartment, well fitted out for a short stay and for simple meals. Nice hot shower. Self contained and quiet.

Negative: Steep access road and drive up to the apartment.

Positive: The location is convenient, especially if you are visiting the nearby national park, and the owners are friendly and responsive to messages. Shower is also warm.

Negative: Our arrival was quite unusual. The owner welcomed us in a very euphoric way, which might feel a bit overwhelming depending on personal preference. There was also a snake in the garden when we arrived, and he promptly got rid of it in a rather theatrical manner, which made the check-in definitely memorable. The house itself is very basic. While some of the equipment is new, overall cleanliness could be improved and there were quite a lot of small drain flies inside. The doors are not well sealed and there are no mosquito screens, so insects can easily get in. In our opinion, the accommodation would be more suitable at a lower price point, we initially paid for two nights but changed plans and stayed only one to visit the National Park. If you are looking for something simple and don’t mind a very unique host, it might work for you. Otherwise, you may want to compare other options in the same price range.

Positive: The owners were amazing, really friendly, and as everyone else has said, so helpful. The road is quite steep, and isn't too easy with bags, but there are taxis who can help. The property is really nicely done, there were four of us, and maybe the bathroom door was a bit thin when there are four there, but not a big problem. Easy into Quepos or Manuel Antonio on the bus, and the wildlife is amazing.

Positive: Great value for the price, near all the beaches and the National Park. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the place is very nice and clean, it has parking and all the basic appliances listed in the description. I would definitively come back!
