Positive: A cabin next to a frozen lake in Lapland does not come better than this. We had an absolutely wonderful time in quiet solitude in the freezing artic winter. It was spectacular. The cabin is well appointed with big floor to ceiling windows inviting the outdoors in. There is a short staircase leading down to the beach at Lake Inari. We felt quite remote and could not see lights from the neighbours (they were at least a few hundred meters away). The sauna (also in the cabin) was suburb. It was a pleasure dealing with the host in sorting out a cleaning situation outside of his control. On our last night we saw the northern lights from the house and had the best view available from the frozen lake. We would love to be back some day.

Summary: A spectacular trip to a winter wonderland, staying in a cabin next to a frozen lake.

Positive: Easy check in, location very secluded and opposite a lake, owner has prepared tons of facilities that are ready available to use including camp fires and snow sledding if one is interested. Sauna was amazing. Would visit again if travelling to Inari.

Negative: Pillows needs replacing :DD

Positive: The location of the cabin is very nice. Directly on the lake with a great view. In the morning you see reindeers crossing the lake. The Cabin is good heated and there is a big Sauna (it takes some time to warm up). Nice to watch a movie. To see(if you are lucky) the aurora you have to go outside. That was not a problem for us.

Negative: There was still food (vegatables, open milk, etc.) in the fridge. There were no bed sheets for the sofa bed, there were no firelighters for the campfire. There are two pair of snowshoes available although the house is for 4persons.

Positive: No breakfast it was self catering, the place is in the village, no shop in the village and you will not see any people esp duting siesta time not a single one walking around ,the inly few people wslk around are the old generation they re friendly even they dont dpeak english we manage to get by with oyr very little .the property is very far from the town 2.4 km so if u forgot something then you have to walk or catch a taxi again.this location is good for people that want peaceful solutude life.need to put chopping board in the kitchen ,it would be nice to put a fresh fruits (their own harvest fruits) esp from their own garden as a compliments they all have fruit bearing trees and veges from their own garden , as a gorrign visitors we are very happy to have tasted fresh harvest fruits,

Negative: Fresh fruits and veges as a compliments esp the visitors are come from other countries we love to taste fresh harvest fruits from their own garden.esp the no shop in the village, no restaurant it is very far from town 2.5 km. value for money.host is helpful even he cannot speak english but he try his best.
