Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Host exceptionally helpful with everything. Gave us great food recommendations. Very interesting person to talk to, a true marinheiro with a wealth of stories. So much better then the places where you just pick a key from a box. Apartment new and well equipped, has everything you need. Great and tasteful inside. A small sitting space outside, though garden still in development as we were among the first guests. Guest apartment is below the host's one. Good acoustic isolation let you hear some muted sound occasionally, but not disturbing. A point to consider, if you might be exceptionally noisy, Apartment outside of Sesimbra, though easy to get to the town by taxi (4-5 EUR one way). The host can help with calling the taxi. On the way back, taxis are easily available at towns' central point also later at night. Possible to walk as well. There is a steep shortcut bypassing the castle. Being on bicycles we have not tried it. Sesimbra is a small, charming town, with a lot of food options and nice, local atmosphere, definitely worth recommending.
