Positive: Very friendly staff and very cozy vibes, also a cozy location. It's a bit further away from the city, but like everywhere else in Java, everything is easily accessible with Gojek and we prefer a cozy, quiet location to the bustling city centre. There's also some restaurants and warungs nearby. They let you do your laundry for free, which was really great, but they don't have a dryer so if you plan on doing your laundry, keep in mind that it has to air dry. They also have a drinking water dispenser, which is a big plus!! They do have hot water, but the boilers are small, so if you take very long showers, you may run out of hot water for a couple of minutes. They care a lot about the guests and after learning that the bed in our room was a bit worn down, they offered us a better room! They also offer pretty affordable tours.

Negative: The first room we were staying at had no windows, which was a bit of a problem in the bathroom, because there was a bad smell coming out of it and the bedsheets were a bit damp, but that might just be because the house is old and the fact that it was raining outside. When we were moved to the room with a window, we didn't have these issues anymore.

Positive: We had 3 nights at Casa de Vie and it was very comfortable there. We even extended for 1 more day. The welcome was perfect and all the services, the room, the house itself is amazing. The owner Devie is really friendly and she showed us Malang city as she is a local. It was fun! Thank you for everything!

Positive: Fast response & friendly staff! Plus comfy mattress, AC, hot waters, clean bed sheets, free coffee, tea, drinking water and decent sized room with a communal well functioning kitchen. We also have been really impressed with the quality of the rooms and service, they have been super helpful with booking tours and giving us a bunch of recommendations. Location is away from the city centre and requires a 10-20 min drive but taxis are easy to get and we have enjoyed the quiet and safe feeling location.

Negative: Only thing to complain about were thin walls (but we were given ear plugs on arrival) also a few very small ants on the bathroom walls due to an open ventilation window

Positive: - It was very clean, it smelled good all the time and all facilities at home are everything we need. We saw that they did a lot of improvements as they always listen to the customer, and they asked us if we feel good and asking for our feedback too. - We arrived very late at 3am and they waited for us patiently. The staff are super helpful, we can do late check out, only pay very cheap. - The tours were amazing, they have many activities and recommendations to do in Malang.

Negative: Sometimes there was traffic jam at certain time on the way to the homestay. But grab bike and taxi still arrived despite of the traffic, so it was okay.

Positive: Everything was so clean. The Room has sometimes a Little smell which is gone when You Turn on the AC. Staff helped us with the Bromo Tour.

Negative: It’s a Little Bit outside of the City need a grab or Scooter to get to the Center.
