Positive: Absolutely amazing stay! The house itself is very cosy and has everything you need to be comfortable. The kitchen is available for use and offers the most amazing view! Then there’s the garden, which is the most beautiful of all. You have multiple nice seating areas surrounded by all kinds of trees, plants, and a very cute cat! But most of all, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, open and friendly. They made us feel right at home while also sharing things of Madeiran and Polish culture.

Positive: Very nice, hospitable hosts. Delicious breakfast (with vegetable and fruit straight from their garden) with exceptional view of the coastline. The apartament was clean and stylish. Would recommend and come back happily.

Positive: This was by far my favourite stay in Madeira. The house and its gardens are down a little path nestled in nature, a short bus journey away from the city, it’s truly the most peaceful and picturesque location when you’re wanting easy access to Funchal. I was really blown away when I arrived. The house is a traditional madeiran house with large gardens where the grow their own fruits and vegetables, the owners have renovated the property entirely on their own, keeping it as a traditional house but adding beautiful creative elements. There’s a large table under a huge wrap around porch where you can enjoy food and tea together, enjoy the beauty of the garden they care for and look out to the ocean. The hospitality is also impeccable, we shared lovely conversations together, and I was treated to homemade dinners and cake whilst we chatted. The facilities in the stay are great, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the bathroom is lovely. This was the first place i stayed in Madeira and it truly was the best. I felt such a warm welcome and was so impressed with the beautiful place they had created, I will defiantly be returning. Thank you!

Positive: We absolutely loved this place! A wonderfully converted, absolutely beautiful old stone house with a stunning garden full of flowers, vegetables, fruit and lovely little lizards basking in the sun. High up on a hill, it has the most amazing views out over the ocean. It's perfectly situated, only around 20 minutes from Funchal but feels completely in the countryside, and it's a great place to be able to explore all over the island. The 'suite' itself had a little lounge and bathroom downstairs and two rooms upstairs (one with a double bed and one with two singles)...both with the same magic views over the sea. The separate kitchen was really well kitted-out with everything you need. Although apparently a shared kitchen, we were the only ones there at the time. As will be the case with some other places in Madeira, you couldn't park right next to the house, but there was parking a couple of minutes walk away down the hill. Access to the house is up a few steps and along a path. The staircase inside the house was also narrow and quite steep. None of this was a problem for us at all and I only mention this because it might be less suitable for someone with mobility issues. But for us, it was perfect and the walk along the path only added to the charm and the peace and quiet - it's a hidden, quiet gem! Also, if you step out of the garden gate and turn left down the path in the other direction, you reach one of Madeira's many beautiful Levada's (irrigation channels with accompanying foot paths) that wends its way up the valley, through flowers, a rock tunnel and along steep hillsides to a village. Stunning. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thanks for having us to stay!
