Positive: The property is on the outskirts of Aveiro and not really close to the city. This didn’t bother us as we had a car, but it would probably be difficult without one. We liked the off road parking and as there were only 2 of us staying the accommodation was very generous. The only issue we had was light coming into the main bedroom and we didn’t realise until morning there were shutters. We improvised by using a blanket. The bed was comfortable in the room we used and the apartment was well equipped. The host recommended a restaurant about 5-10 minutes drive away which she booked for us. It was a great restaurant with traditional food. The apartment is self contained.

Negative: We found that the property was fine for us. We knew that there were dogs at the property before we arrived. However, that wouldn’t be for everyone. It didn’t affect our stay, but might affect others. The apartment is conjoined to the host’s property, although it is self-contained. This may not suit everyone.
