Summary: Nice quite location with a great view. There is a natural swimming pool down the road with a cafe to eat with a great view as well. Pico is amazing. Must drive the whole island to see all the various landscaping.

Summary: Casa da Vigia is a lovely studio house with a beautiful sea view balcony. The home is very clean and well equipped with everything you need plus some extra nice touches such as shampoo and Maria's basket of homemade chutney and wine. There was an issue with the internet, but Maria did everything she could to resolve this and was easily contactable when we had a problem. The location is in a quiet but pretty part of the Island, about 15 mins from Lajes and 40 mins from Madalena. We would defiantly recommend whale watching with Espaco Talassa, they appeared the most ethical, informative & passionate. For swimming we'd recommend Santa Antonio & Madalena and although we were able to climb pico due to bad weather, we'd recommend watching a Pico sunset by Lagoa Do Cap.
