Positive: The host and his wife were very nice and welcoming. They offered us a glass of moscatel as a welcome drink, which was a lovely touch. The location is beautiful, in a village surrounded by grapes and fig trees. They offer a nice breakfast, and everything was clean.
Negative: The internet was weak, and the walls were very thin — we could even hear the breathing from the next room.

Positive: Private room in an old couple’s house. Very warm and welcoming and cooked an excellent breakfast spread each morning. The location is not a far drive from many of the vineyards and sites that were on our list for the Douro Valley.

Positive: The accommodation is in 300 year old renovated structure, with an exceptional bathroom and comfortable beds with a very nice breakfast served family style with other guests. The owners were very accommodating & helpful with needs.
Negative: Grab bars in the tub would be helpful for safety.
Summary: This was a wonderful experience made so by the hosts

Positive: Antonio, his wife and staff were extremely delightful and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The rooms were comfortable and immaculate. Antonio was very helpful in arranging the boat tour and luncheon/wine tour for us. He even rearranged the boat tour to allow us the ability to attend Mass. He walked us to the Church. Staying in their home is an honor and we definitely would stay again.
Negative: The property is absolutely beautiful. I would suggest trying to arrive during the daytime. Just a little challenging to find at night but we did it and António was gracious to come out to the street to direct us. We were right in front of the Casa but didn’t realize it.
Summary: It was an amazing stay and honor to stay in their lovely casa!

Positive: I have had the most amazing stay at Casa Da Trigueira, Antonio his wife and the staff are most welcoming and a true testament to Portuguese hospitality. Apart from immaculate and well presented rooms the highlight is breakfast Important for those who like me travel on a motorcycle. Safe parking inside the courtyard is in place. I could not recommend it highly enough
