Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property in the Douro Valley. The location was excellent—very convenient, with a petrol station nearby and easy access to shops and restaurants. The house itself was private, charming, and perfect for families. Our kids absolutely loved it—they spent most of their time playing safely outside, which gave us great peace of mind. The gardens were lush, green, and very well maintained, and the rooms were spotless, well-prepared, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The house was also nicely heated for the chilly nights, making it very cozy. Sandra, our host, was amazing from start to finish. She was there to welcome us upon arrival, gave us a thorough tour, and shared helpful tips about the area and activities we could enjoy. Throughout our stay, she stayed in touch to make sure we were having a good time and to suggest fun things for the kids. The private football court was a huge hit with the little ones, keeping them happily entertained. The garden also had a lovely pond and a gentle water stream that added a peaceful and special touch to the place. As a sweet farewell gesture, Sandra invited us to pick fresh oranges and lemons from the garden to take home—a lovely and memorable experience. We were two families with two kids, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this place or its wonderful hosts enough. We hope to return one day!
