Positive: Location and view from the balcony off of salon. I had the salon to myself in the evening to watch TV. I felt like I was in my own home. The host were friendly and gracious, and the home charming, breakfast was superb. My hostess sewed a rip in my pants and iron my shirts on my way to a wedding.

Positive: Charming guesthouse with stunning views at the top of the hill. Joaquim was a warm and welcoming host, and his wife prepared a wonderful breakfast for us (try the tomato jam!). Everything was clean and comfortable, and we had a terrific stay there. The guesthouse was close to the castle, and Joaquim provided us with a map and helpful recommendations. Would love to come back and stay as Casa da Arvore again!

Positive: The scenery from the shared balcony was truly breathtaking. There are a few restaurants in the village, but we heard they were fully booked, so we brought food from the town below just in case. The owner was very kind and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful, with warm eggs, toasted bread, and his wife’s homemade jam — it was absolutely delicious.
