Positive: This a beautiful property by the Erie lake in a quite town of Leamington. It is 5mins drive away from the Point Peele National Park, making it the perfect location if you are looking for a multi day trip that includes a quite relaxing get away in the lake house + a hike around the southern tip of Canada. Things we loved about the place : 1) Location, and proximity to the lake. 2) The house is gorgeous, there is a beautiful sunroom outside of the living room where you can sit and enjoy with your group if the weather is chilly. 3) In the backyard they have a patio set up with an electric fireplace for times you want to spend under the sky. 4) The house was absolutely clean with 0 spec of dust. 5) It was also organized and everything you might need was provided, including the kitchen set up to make a quick breakfast meal. 6) The house is decorated with intention with traces of Portugal, it’s not the generic decor that you see in most cottages. It elevated the appeal of the house in general. 7) The check-in process was extremely simple, the owner was all time responsive for anything. 8) They also provided us a pass for the national Park, so we didn’t have to pay to enter the park during our stay at the cottage .

Negative: Some minor things - - The hot tub did not work for us, it wouldn’t heat up beyond a certain temp. Wasn’t a big deal for us since we weren’t keen on using it anyway. - The living room sofa cum bed isn’t comfortable due to the springs. Luckily we didn’t have to use it to sleep at night, but might be uncomfortable for someone who needs to. - We were also out of the gas for the fireplace on the first day after running it for 2.5 hours. These weren’t a big problem for us, considering that would still rate this property 10/10.

Positive: We provided our own meals in the well equipped kitchen. Location good for birding at Pelee. Very clean! Hot tub pleasant at end of day.

Negative: I’d suggest more rustic furniture… side tables in the sun room… a nice place to sit

Positive: Location itself is very nice at the lake with a beautiful view. The house itself had a very nice interior and was very comfortable. Everything worked and everything that we would have expected was there. It is definitely a recommendation from us to rent this property.
