The Casa de Carmen is over four hundred years old, as it appears in records prior to the year 1647. Its restoration was total since only the exterior walls of the house were preserved. The proper configuration of a house of a fishing village, with its wooden floors and ceilings, was respected in its rehabilitation.
At its entrance, a stone arch reveals its past. On the ground floor we will enjoy the fireplace in the living room, kitchen and bathroom with shower with light and rain effect. On the top floor, we have a fireplace and old-legged bathtub in the room itself, and in the bathroom a hydromassage shower. From this floor we access a small patio with outdoor furniture facing south.

Summary: Sophisticated and charming is not an easy combination to achieve. My husband and I just spent 2 weeks at this amazing property as a base for exploring Galicia. Every attention to detail was taken care of in this well thought out home. We were met by Jose who went over everything in the house for us. We were also welcomed by home baked cake and cookies from Ana, champagne and chocolate. Coffee was supplied for us too. The home is even better than the pictures and it is very quiet despite being in the middle of town. I wish we lived closer! We cannot wait to return to Casa de Carmen, Corcubion and to visit with Ana y Jose. We are already missing them!

Summary: Even before we left home Ana and Jose were very helpful finding out information about buses for us. Jose also met us at the bus stop which was so kind. The house is beautiful, comfortable and clean. It has everything you need and more, including a beautiful homemade cake, biscuits and very nice cava! We were made to feel so welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Corcubion is a charming, relaxing small town with spectacular scenery and lovely walks, and everyone is so friendly that it doesn't matter if you don't speak too much Spanish - by the end of your holiday you will know un poquito Galician! Our favourite restaurant was the Degustacion de marisco MercaMaris where the chef shared with us her recipe for her clams and sauce. Also O Pirata in Fisterra is worth a visit. We did not use the beaches as it was mostly raining but Quenxe looked the best option. We would most definitely come back and when we do, we want to stay at Casa De Carmen. Thank you Jose and Ana for a most hospitable welcome.

Summary: Steps from camino. Carmin's is Beautiful place where the owners have thought of everything. Comfortable, great kitchen and beautiful terrace. From here there is great hiking, beaches and amazing drives along the coast and end of the world. Do not miss the sunset! Great local restaurants in Corcubion. Beautiful town.

Summary: We (two mature experienced travellers) stayed in Ana & Jose's cottage for one week in late September. It is beautiful, decorated to details, comfortable, homey, close to everything in the area, including several beaches and Fisterra. Do walk Carnota beach, and park in Fisterra and walk up to the lighthouse. Jose met us and provided lots of information on the area, activities, driving distances etc. There was a lovely orange cake Ana made, a bottle of Cava and water and milk to start our stay. Soap and shampoo, laundry items and everything you could possibly think of. They are only a phone call, or msg away, and were available if we needed them. Both are very hospitable, knowledgeable, and great hosts. The house itself is about 400 years old and they have taken the time to finish every detail to keep the era alive in the house and make it very livable and comfortable. Even electronics. Thank you to both Ana & Jose for a wonderful week in our tour of Spain. You are both very special.

Summary: It is a dream! The house is old and obviously famous. Almost every night a group of tourists comes to see the oldest house in Corcubion. It has been wonderfully renovated in style and is equipped with everything a holiday-maker can dream off. It contains all the appliances you could possibly use (and I mean really all with all the bells and whistles). The showers and the tub present a wide selection of bath gels and crystals, the kitchen has teas and coffee and espresso pads and so on. Ana and Jose are really marvelous hosts. On short notice Jose picked us up at the entrance of Corcubion, brought us to the house and showed us everything. As welcome presents we found a cake, cookies, chocolate and cava – absolutely generous. The balcony invites you to the sunny days in Concurbion, This house in the heart of a small old town with excellent restaurants is a gem, really.
