Summary: Great location, adjacent central shopping area and short walk to Rue Mercière with lots of dining options. Rooms were clean & a good size. Hotel was just lovely with a lively bar. The standout feature was the magnificent old world elevator with glass sides. Overall, the Carlton Hotel Lyon was the perfect package!

Summary: This is a 3 star hotel, not 4 star. Building is beautiful and staff is friendly and nice, but decor is faded, common areas look run down and fixtures are cheap. Old hair dryers. No coffee machine in room, just cheap kettle.

Summary: Very clean room, great location, friendly staff. My only comment is that the elevator didn’t work and there are a lot of stairs (we were on the third floor which was the equivalent of 12 sets of stairs), so if you like stairs - great, if you’d prefer less stairs, ask for a room on the 1st or 2nd floor, unless of course the elevator works. The room is really nice and it’s quiet.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the Carlton MGallery. A great location, a lovely, well restored old building, and a room which had plenty of room, big comfy beds and a well appointed bathroom. The provided tea, water, etc, was a nice bonus, and the staff were great throughout. A special mention for the bar staff who, even on new year's eve and new year's day, we're welcoming, professional and did everything to ensure we and other guests had a great time.

Summary: We really enjoyed our three night stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and linens were very nice and the room was very quiet. We slept well here. The location was perfect for us and we enjoyed walking to everything we wanted to do. Everyone at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
