I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a dated house but has everything you need. Great outdoor space with fire pit. Functional kitchen with updated appliances. Short drive to downtown and fun outdoor adventures. Working television. Comfortable beds and all kings which was a great perk! My only comments would be that updated bathrooms would be nice. Also, the house smelled a little smoky (like fire pit, not cigarette smoke) but added to the mountain feel. Thankful for a comfortable, affordable place to stay in the Highlands.

Summary: Nearly at the top of Big Bear Pen, the leaves are beautiful! Very nicely accomodated with fireplace, comfortable beds, comfortable places to sit, pop popcorn, watch a movie or take a walk. First rate appliances in the kitchen which are easy to use if you want to cook for yourself. Yet it still has that old Highlands charm that you would expect of a real Highlands cottage with heart of pine paneled walls. Friendly checkin and out. Close to town. Lovely!
