Positive: Fantastic time - highly recommended! We had an absolutely fantastic time at Camel House and on the tour. The hosts were incredibly attentive and welcoming - they even picked us up from the bus station and helped with our luggage, which immediately made us feel at ease. The riad itself is beautiful: modern, comfortable rooms and a huge pool that’s perfect for relaxing after a day out. The food was excellent - both dinner and lunch were delicious local cuisine, full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. We organized a 3-hour 4x4 tour through the tundra-like landscapes and the desert, and it was a highlight. Great music on the radio, a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and access to beautiful, hidden spots we never would have found on our own. We even found fossils - increíble! The camel tour and desert stay were equally amazing. The camel ride was calm and enjoyable, and the camp was very well organized. The tents were big and super comfortable, the food was great, and the evening around the campfire with live music was magical. On top of all that, the team also helped us organize a minibus to our next destination, which made everything smooth and stress-free. We’re very glad we chose Camel House and their trek. We would have loved to stay longer and would absolutely come back again. Highly, highly recommended. Greetings from Germany - until next time :)

If you’re searching for an ideal place to experience the stunning Merzouga dunes, this is it. From the very first welcome, Mohammed and his lovely family treated us not as guests, but as friends. Their generosity and care were exceptional—easily the most genuine hospitality we’ve encountered anywhere. They paid attention to every little detail, introduced us to local customs, and spoiled us with incredible home-cooked meals that were far better than anything we ate out. The apartment is large, spotless, and wonderfully situated in Hassilabied, just steps away from the Sahara Desert. The pool deserves a special mention: crystal clear, beautifully maintained, and an absolute lifesaver after time spent exploring the dunes. Mohammed also arranged unforgettable activities for us, including quad biking and sandboarding. Flying over the dunes and gliding down the soft, golden sand was thrilling and insanely fun. What truly made this place special was the tranquility. Sitting on the terrace as the sun dipped behind the Erg Chebbi dunes felt deeply calming, almost surreal—and the sunrise was pure magic. We’ve traveled extensively throughout Morocco, but nowhere else came close to the comfort, beauty, and heartfelt welcome we experienced at Camels House. It truly stands in a league of its own.

Positive: Staying at Camels House Apartment was the absolute highlight of our trip to Morocco. If you are looking for the perfect base to see the breathtaking Merzouga dunes, look no further! From the moment we arrived, Mohammed and his wonderful family made us feel like we were part of their own. Their hospitality is unmatched—truly the kindest, most attentive hosts we have ever met. They went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect, sharing local traditions and delicious homemade food that puts any restaurant to shame. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and perfectly located in Hassilabied, right on the doorstep of the Sahara. The swimming pool is a total dream—sparkling clean and the perfect way to cool off after a morning in the dunes. Speaking of the dunes, Mohammed organized the most incredible quad biking and sandboarding adventures for us. Racing across the sand and sliding down the "fine" orange peaks was an adrenaline rush we’ll never forget! One of the most special parts of our stay was the peace and quiet. Watching the sunsets over the Erg Chebbi dunes from the terrace was a spiritual experience, and the sunrise was even more magical. We have stayed in many places across Morocco, but nothing compares to the warmth and beauty of Camels House. It is honestly better than anywhere else in the region. What could be improved: Absolutely nothing. Our only regret was that we had to leave! Tip for other travelers: Ask Mohammed to arrange the sunset quad biking tour—it is worth every penny and provides the best photos you'll ever take!
