Positive: Beautiful and cozy cabin on the water, the room is nice and comfortable and has a private bathroom. The balcony is great to enjoy the view and the quietness of the place. The small fisherman village nearby (15/20 minutes walking) is lovely, local people are nice and the village is still traditional. Mr Bang helped us with the transportation to come and go, which was nice since the only man who provides taxi at the Phang Nga bus station wanted to charge us 700 thb for the 4 of us… Instead, we paid 500 thb.

Negative: We liked everything about our stay ! :) But just to let you know, the place is a bit remote (more than 20 minutes ride from Phang Nga) and the small restaurants nearby close early in the evening (around 8pm), be aware of that when you book

Positive: I never write reviews but i really think this place deserves one. If you want to see the authentic side of Thailand without any tourists this is the place to book. Also the mangroves are so peaceful & beautiful, right in the middle on nature. There may not be too much to do near by but Mr.Bang the owner is so helpful with booking days out. He also took us to a flea market & brought us a pad thai ( one of the best ive ever had ) I would give the place 5 stars just for how attentive Mr. Bang is with his guests ! There are kayaks that he let us take out on the mangroves which was an amazing expericence Near by is a Muslim Fishing village with some of the seafood ive had in Thailand So far as been my favourite place we’ve stayed on our 2 month trip. Would highly recommend if you want to get away from the busy tourist areas & have a few days of peace & quiet in nature !

Negative: I'm sure the cabin was properly built and is sturdy but it feels somewhat like it might collapse into the pond! The mattress wasn't particularly comfortable and there's a lot of dust around the room but considering the price you can't expect a 5-star hotel experience, it was still enjoyable staying there. The location is quite remote so you need your own vehicle, there's only one restaurant nearby in the fishing village, but that place is really lovely to visit.

Positive: A home surrounded by silence in the middle of Mangroves and close by the local community - that makes the stay at Calm so special. Plus the very friendly and super caring Mr. Bang! We also took the kajaks for a ride and could start right at the bungalow. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Positive: Me and my friends had an excellent stay here. It’s off the beaten path but Mr Bang helps with transport and organising tours. He even brought us pad thai the night we arrived! Can’t forget his sister as well who drove us to the local shop for free so that we could buy snacks. You should definitely stay here

Negative: The location is nice because it’s off the beaten path but it would be a lot better if you have your own transport
