Positive: The manager - Aislynn - was OUTSTANDING. Personable, and SO helpful - I was in a bind and she went out of her way to help me out. Her assistance - above and beyond just hosting an inn - guaranteed that my visit to Islay was outstanding, and for that I am so grateful! It is a guest house - two of the rooms (including the one I was in) have adjacent bathrooms. It was great for traveling solo, the continental breakfasts are tasty, the location is stellar and gorgeous, and the staff (both Aislynn and the other young woman who worked there) treated me like family!!

Summary: Great location, great value, and OUTSTANDING staff - I will be back!

Positive: Great continental breakfast, clean and well equipped rooms and shared kitchen where we ate a takeaway one evening. Aislinn was a fab host, very friendly and helpful. Great location to do the 3 distrillaries Ardbeg , lagavulin and Laphroaig on foot via a beautiful walking path

Positive: Proximity to ferry. I’d say the prettier end of Islay

Negative: It isn’t clear from the description that the bathrooms are not en suite. This is a real pain. There is nowhere to sit comfortably as no chair in room nor sitting room. There is a breakfast room that you can use which is handy but nowhere to fill kettle unless you want to fill in the bathroom sink. Noisy with doors opening and shutting all the time. The lady running it is nice enough but turns radio 1 on in the breakfast room at 7:30 in the morning and doesn’t stop talking. Personally I like a gentle start to the day rather than hear about her family. We understand the bnb is about to close for two years to house the workers on the new ferry terminal. Probably a better use of the accommodation

Positive: Continental breakfast with lots of options including fresh fruit. Also Aislinn was a fantastic host and went out of her way to ensure there were plenty of gluten free options. Even big hotels are not as accommodating as she was and made us both feel very welcome and special. Thanks a million

Negative: Not being on suite was a bit of an issue but what was available was spotless and a joy to use the facilities. The breakfast room was a bit small at peak times so just had to judge it well and come back a bit later.

Summary: Accommodation exceeded expectations and we were looked after well from arrival to departure.

Positive: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we didn't feel going out, having the kitchenette to eat dinner was lovely and has a beautiful view of the dock and water

Negative: I was surprised at how difficult it was to get a taxi from the airport-- may be worth mentioning to book ahead for first time visitors. The stay itself was great.

Summary: Beautiful and very friendly B&B with excellent location and friendly and accommodating staff.
