Summary: This rental is a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth it if you can make the trip outside of Anchorage. It is a 2 hour drive or so from the airport, but through mountain roads and side note- this is on a steep mountain down (or steep for midwesterners anyway haha). You’ll find yourself sitting in the gorgeous open concept living room/kitchen and just staring out of the huge windows surrounding you… the view is stunning and really will be enough for you to take in for days if one is so inclined. However, there are trails and plenty to explore right at the cabin. Books galore, filled will info about the area but also fun reads. The rooms are comfy and there is plenty of room for a large family to spread out. This cabin was built on site by the owner (as many cabins in Alaska are), and it is so well built and beautifully decorated. Fresh chicken eggs, milk, orange juice, pancake mix, and plenty of other high quality comfort items are available. We highly recommend this rental and hope to come back to take in the gorgeous view again!
