Positive: This is a very beautiful, restored building in a small but stunning hamlet surrounded by mountains. Very spacious, with all amenities for cooking and cleaning (laundry etc). Genial host who made sure the old building was nice and warm. Lots of walks nearby and some super restaurants nearby.

Negative: We were unlucky with weather and transport but cant blame this on our host! Some more info about the local town - eg when restaurants opened (very haphazard) and transport options (buses) would have been helpful.

Summary: Highly recommended - perfect place to soak in the best of La Garroxta's scenery, heritage and food!

Positive: Located in a quiet village with a bakery and a few restaurants. A short drive to the bigger city of Olot. Great hiking trail to a small chapel on the mountain behind us, nice view from deck. Owner was super nice even made sure we could do laundry even when the one in our place was broken.

Negative: Nothing

Summary: Very quiet and comfortable stay, rural with good views.

Positive: A great location for exploring this beautiful and quiet area of Catalonia. A really hospitable welcome from the host and the cleaning lady as well as the host's nephew who cycled out to find us when we were looking for the property! Amazing to find an excellent restaurant a few paces away in this quiet hamlet.

Negative: The property was perfect for us as the adjacent properties were largely unoccupied when we stayed. We would probably take the larger apartment if we go back, as it would be more private if the other adjacent properties were occupied.

Summary: A great base for walking (or cycling) from a very quiet location that also offers restaurants nearby

Positive: The place was amazing! So comfortable, light, with a great garden to relax in and nice hikes that can be accessed directly from the apartment. Modest was really friendly, explained everything upon arrival and we felt very welcome and at home. Would definitely come back!
