Positive: What a kind & extremely generous host, Giordano goes out of his way to assist in every way, with valuable advice to make your stay even better. We arrived early by train, & were quite happy to sit in the local park with our luggage & wait for our check in time, but Giordano directed us to a local cafe where we settled in for a home made lunch & a glass of wine while we waited. We were warmly greeted by Giordano & beautiful wife Giovanni, our heavy bags were whisked away up the stairs, very grateful for that help. The apartment is very large, & very well furnished, & spotlessly clean. The fridge was well stocked with assorted fruit juices, water, a fruit bowl etc. We were gifted a lovely bottle of wine & chocolates. The distance to the local supermarket was 2 minutes walk. The balcony was a great bonus, to sit & enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Giordano checked in every day via WhatsApp, to see if we required anything at all. A heartfelt thank you Giordano.

Positive: The flat was bigger than I thought, it was clean and really well equipped. The host was super nice and he went over and beyond in order to fulfill my travel goal, which I had to replan. He was communicative and provided extra services for us. Thank you!

Negative: The flat was really cold when we arrived (this is an advantage for the summer, I think), but we managed to heat the rooms up after a while with the AC. ;)

It's even bigger than the pictures let you believe. And if this wasn't already more than enough, the host Giordano, he's the most kind, caring, attentive, respectful host you will ever meet. Giordano, thank you for showing us so much kindness and respect. Your attention to detail and your help have made our trip to Monopoli magical.

Positive: Spacious and clean, beautiful decor. We loved the lounge and balcony the most as it was so comfortable to stay in and lovely to watch the street below. The host kindly left many treats and fruit for us, and was so willing to help us make the most of our trip with recommendations etc. great air con and comfortable beds, and a quick walk to the main town. We were so impressed with the place and so grateful for Giordano’s hospitality. We loved Monopoli and will be recommending this accomodation to everyone who wishes to have as amazing a time as we did.

Positive: We booked C'era Una Volta for 5 nights. Giordano came to meet us upon arrival, he was so friendly. Her let us in, showed us around and welcomed us to Monopoli. Once you are a guest of Giordano's, he treats you like you're one of his close friends visiting from another country. Most of the meals that we had were off his recommendation and they were some of the best meals of our trip. No matter where you are going in Puglia (or anywhere else in Italy), he's more than happy to offer recommendations and always there to help. He goes above and beyond, making sure we always had a great place to eat, saw the best sights and even helped us when we had an issue with our car rental. The kindest, most caring host you'll find. Giordano's hospitality made our experience in Monopoli better than we even expected. As for the apartment, it's a very nice, large, one-bedroom appartment with plenty of space (pictures are accurate). It was very clean and just a short walk from the town center (an even shorter walk from the train station) which meant that there were free parking spaces around the area. When you walk in, it smells great. He has fruits, drinks, snacks all stocked up for you for your stay. We felt like we were coming 'home' when we would get back from a day of sightseeing.

Positive: Everything about our stay was perfect - the property was beautiful, clean and quiet. All of the facilities worked perfectly(kitchen, aircon, shower etc), the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. But above all, Giordano (the host) is exceptionally hospitable and kind. He greeted us at the property with fresh fruit, wine and chocolates for our stay and recommendations about the city and surrounds. Throughout our 5 day stay, he checked in with us to make sure everything was okay, helping us make restaurant bookings and organising day trips out of Monopoli. Once when we locked our keys inside he came to help us in under 5 minutes. We felt very lucky to have Giordano - a big thank you!
