Positive: The location on a closed-to-traffic street a minute walk from the Cathédrale is an utter delight. The apartment was very comfortable and is tastefully decorated. One has the feeling of living in the guest rooms of newly renovated chateau. The bathroom is spacious with a wonderful walk-in shower and two sinks. The kitchen is very well-equipped for those who insist on cooking for themselves (we didn't), but we could have. The bed was very comfortable. The owner lives in the building and met us and kept in contact, discretely, offering advice. An underground parking garage is around the corner and one can obtain a reasonably priced pass for several days from the attendant (during working hours).

Negative: While the windows when closed provide very adequate sound insulation, for those (like us) who prefer to sleep with an open window for fresh air (classic French shutters are most adequate for keeping out the light), from 10 pm to midnight in the summer, the sounds and voices of other tourists heading back to their respective lodgings are clearly heard. This comes with the neighbourhood and we think the neighbourhood is worth it, given the obvious solution of opening the windows after midnight.

Summary: Our strongest recommendation for anyone visiting Amiens.

Positive: We made our own breakfast, using the superb facilities provided. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, well-sited for walking and immaculately designed & maintained. Christophe was a wonderful host in every way.

Negative: The only thing we didn't like was the need to leave this place at 8am to be sure of catching Le Shuttle.

Summary: We doubt there can be a finer place for a couple to stay in Dinan that Cote Cathedrale.

Positive: Absolutely loved Cote’ Cathederal. Location is great with easy, 10 min walk access to train station. 100 m from Notre Dame Cathedral and close to plenty of places to eat and shop. A great base to see Amiens and also to travel from around The Somme region. Especially for Australians visiting the region to honour those who fought in WW1. The mansion is newly renovated with a modern look but maintaining the old charm of the building with the marble fireplaces, high ceilings and doors. New full kitchen with everything you’d ever need. Our host Christophe greeted us with enthusiastic French charm and was available to help whenever we needed it. I’m sure this will become one of the most in demand to stay in the region and we will defiantly be back.

Negative: There isn’t anything to not like

Summary: By a long margin, the best place we stayed in over 3 Europe trip in the last 8 years.
