Positive: The lodge being all on one level so was safe for my father with a brain injury. Loved that everything was provided for your stay, even down to a carton of milk in the fridge😁. The property was exceptionally clean and felt like home from home.

Negative: Nothing to not like.

Positive: Everything was lovely. Equipped to perfection - it had everything you needed. The owners had thought of everything.

Negative: Unfortunately, the hot tub didn’t hold its temperature & we were only able to use it once out of the 7 days. With it being the Christmas week there was no one around to ask for help or to sort it. Also, the hot tub leaked its water too so wasn’t full enough to get in it either. That was a disappointment for my (adult) children, they were looking forward to that.

Summary: Despite the hot tub, we would definitely rebook this place. It was perfect for us

Positive: Perfectly wonderful stay here..a little paradise..and such a perfect dog friendly place to be. The lodge has everything you could wish for,the owner has put a lot of thought into it.The smart tvs are great,wifi very good. The whole place is so roomy, bright airy and clean. I was so lucky with the weather, I really didn't need to go anywhere. I had Tesco delivery my shopping...and had a takeaway delivery one night to. Richmond is a short drive away,lots of lovely shops,and again dog friendly cafes..There's a large meadow at the top of the hill behind the lodge, to walk dogs off lead to..The hot tub was perfect, a graveled area for doggie morning wees,,plus the decking back and front which is always in the sun..the outdoor table a chairs,(brand new) so nice to sit at, such a sun trap..I really didn't want to leave..even looked into buying one one this perfect haven of a site...

Positive: Clean, much bigger than expected and a great location.

Negative: Terrible smell from the drains on arrival, it got better as the week went on. We were freezing cold the first 2 days as there was a sign above the thermostat saying Do Not Adjust and the same thing in the information binder. But apparently we were free to change the settings after a call to the owner. The information binder said the log burner would be set up with 2 logs and kindling. It wasn’t set up. There were 2 massive logs in the basket next to the burner but no kindling so we couldn’t get a fire lit. There were no kitchen knives for chopping/prepping food. Only table knives. I had to borrow a sharp knife.
