Positive: We stayed here one night before our trip to Alicia Panaromic Park. The hotel has a typical resort feeling with spacious and clean rooms, a nice garden and pool. The beach is small but is surrounded by pretty rock formations. What we absolutely appreciated was their service: We loved the traditional food they serve. Our sandals were partially broken and we were worried about them becoming unusable during the hike the next morning. But the hotel staff fixed them for us! They also arranged a whole day car rental with a reliable driver, Ray, who took us to Bohol's attractions with our own pace, before dropping us to our next destination.

Positive: We loved the beautiful private beach, the pool, the fact that there were few Europeans and mainly Asian tourists in the hotel. The breakfast offered a range of options, the staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were good, clean and functional and the setting of the hotel fabulous. We discovered Anda and loved our stay in this hotel which was excellent value for money.

Negative: Lots of children in the pool at times but I suppose this is inevitable when families are travelling with children.

Positive: The food and location were good. The staff were pleasant. They even gave us complimentary fruits because we were disturbed by other guests during the last night of our stay at the resort.

Negative: We stayed at Bugnaw Si-e Beach Resort from October 31 to November 3, and for the most part, it was an amazing experience. The place was peaceful, the food was great, and the staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately, our last night wasn’t as pleasant. Some noisy guests made it difficult to sleep, which affected our rest before checkout. We know this isn’t entirely the resort’s fault, but it did impact our overall experience. What really disappointed us was the tour we booked through the resort. We paid ₱5,000 expecting a van, but a small car arrived instead. We specifically wanted a van because it would be more comfortable and we were not even told that we would get a car instead. If only we were informed, we could have booked it ourselves elsewhere. The driver assigned to us seemed unprepared and uninterested from the start. He didn’t explain the itinerary, wasn’t familiar with good places to eat, and took us on an inefficient route that caused us to miss several key attractions like Loboc River, the Man-Made Forest, and Mirror of the World. My mother clearly mentioned to the receptionist that we wanted to visit Chocolate Hills, possibly Loboc River (depending on the weather), and Mirror of the World before heading north to Buenavista. Right off the bat, the driver immediately dismissed Mirror of the World as “too far”. He did not brief us about the itinerary during the beginning of the tour. We were the ones constantly asking what was next or which places were nearby. I had to pull up Google Maps to help him! His lack of engagement and initiative made the tour exhausting and unpleasant. We called the resort afterward and were told they’d get back to us, but we never received any follow-up. It’s a shame because our stay started wonderfully, but the tour left a bad impression.
