Positive: This place had incredible views. We had a restful night in a very comfortable bed and the place was sparkling clean. The breakfast was delicious with homemade jams from their citrus garden. Would highly recommend staying here. Would be a bit tough getting here without a car.

Negative: Only the driveway up. Take your food and drinks so you don't have to drive out at night

Positive: I should have asked about the need to climb stairs, plus slope from car park. That aside staff did greatly assist in luggage transfer from car to room. The stairs had a sensible tread depth. The bed was great, and the views excellent.

Negative: For some of us, a white bread offering would be nice, seeds and rye style bread can create hazards. The fruit and yogurt was nice as were the jams/marmalade.

Summary: Great views, lovely spot, wished we were 20 years younger.

Positive: This lodge is a hidden gem. It sits up on the hill but is still quite easy to get to. The views are amazing as is the lodge itself. We had a corner room with two large windows. The bed, linens, and towels are top notch. The breakfast was delicious and offered a nice variety of choices. The main communal area where breakfast is served is lovely with lots of wood and huge windows and a large deck. Abby and her husband are great hosts and you can see the time and quality they have put into this lodge. Highly recommend staying here!

Negative: There was nothing at all that we didn’t like.

Positive: We stayed in the studio looking out over the forest towards the ocean. The bath is cantilevered into the trees and the kitchen facilities are superb. The hosts. left beautiful bread, honey, fruit compote, savoury tarts and muffins etc etc. A short distance into town and almost adjacent to the Driving Creek Railway, an experience not to be missed.

Negative: So good didn’t want to leave
