Positive: Really lovely, cozy cottage and amazing views. Lots of facilities available and a nice welcome from the owner- left us some firewood and coal to get us going and it was easy to spend the night in and cook, watch some TV or play games left in the cottage. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom and great log fire. Very close to attractions and walkable to Bamburgh. Outdoor areas to use if you are staying in warmer climate- the walk to the beach is VERY close!

Negative: Water was very hard and left lime in the kettle so recommend taking or buying bottled water for a brew. Plan your boiler use for a hot shower. Not the most powerful but serviceable. Bedroom somewhat cold (though this was a very cold week) - recommend using the heater in the room, using the many blankets provided or taking a heated blanket if staying in colder months.

Summary: Lovely, cosy and affordable cottage with AMAZING location and views.

Positive: Location was fantastic, couldn't have asked for more. Being able to Look out over the sea and see Holy Island. Was very central to all the places we wanted to visit. We were literally a minutes walk from the beach and could then walk down to Bamburgh via the beach.

Negative: The outside of the property looked untidy. Although we had a space to park our car it was tight getting in and there were lots of big pot holes to navigate. The shower was horrendous with hardly any water pressure and control was either too hot or too cold. On the last day we noticed that the inside of the kettle was extremely coated in limescale that needed a good cleaning! Following the instructions for the wi-fi failed as the wi-fi name wasn't broadcasting. We messaged the owners but didn't get a response until the evening of the third day only asking us to call them but did not resolve the problem. (We didn't call as we were going home the next day and just hot spotted off my partner's phone as we had been doing) Wi-fi came on intermittently but was off more than it was on. Saying all this If the shower issues were resolved this would be a place we would return to due to the location and views which were stunning.
