Positive: The location was perfect. The seats outside the cottage looked onto beautiful country and 3 lovely sheep grazing. The cottage itself was beautifully designed and created great ambience. Every possible need was catered for including the utensils, condiments,coffee, tea and hot chocolate and even 4 fresh eggs. The whole kitchen was equipped with everything you’d expect from a normal kitchen. Comfortable sofa and chairs with warm throws and firewood for the burner made the living area very homely and comfortable. It is an amazing cottage and we’ll be going back.

Positive: The property had everything we could want, so many comfy blankets everywhere, the fire was amazing and so easy to light, and great fences for my two dogs that stayed with us.
Negative: The only thing that could be improved is to have a more accessible powerpoint next to the bed for devices.
Summary: The two nights we stayed at Brown’s cottage were absolutely amazing!

Positive: The kitchen was very well-equipped with various cookware, crockery, condiments, tea, coffee etc. Thanks to the hosts for providing a bowl of eggs and 2 milk cartons for our stay. The cottage was extremely spacious and comfortable for two persons, and the fireplace kept us warm (thanks for the generous firewood provided). The location is peaceful and quiet with little activity around and is an hour drive to where Katoomba or Wentworth Falls are, where there are more walks and things to see.
Negative: Nothing we didn't like. It would be great if there is a washing machine!

Positive: Very well equipped, lots of thoughtful touches. Surrounded by trees with lots of birdlife. Fireplace with enough wood for one cold night, so if staying longer in winter you need to bring your own extra wood, or buy more locally. The aircon struggles a bit on its own in the large open-plan high-ceiling space, but everything is toasty warm with the wood fire going. Excellent warm bed with electric blankets. It`s a bit of a hike to the usual Blue Mts walks, lookouts, restaurants, shops and other attractions, although Mt Tomah Gardens, with its daytime cafe is a short drive. There is a good rustic pie-shop, and Melange restaurant, at Bilpin which is a very short drive from the accommodation. No grocery shop nearby, but the hosts have provided basic necessities like salt, suger, cooking oil etc; otherwise, you need to be self-sufficient. If you feel like a tree change and rural solitude with homely log cabin ambience, rather than bright lights, this should suit you. very well - we certainly enjoyed our stay.
Negative: WiFi not working properly, but otherwise, all good

Positive: It was very cosy and private. It had a fully fenced yard which was great for our dog.
Negative: The hub getting into the shower was very high. Not suitable for elderly people. No Rangehood above the stove.
