The beautifully decorated living area consists of spacious sofas, large television, dining table and open plan kitchen. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen size bed, and the main room has a sofa bed. Portable beds are also available. Wifi and air conditioning is throughout the cottage.
There is a laundry, double carport, outdoor entertaining area and barbecue. Guest are also welcome to help themselves to our free range chicken eggs!

The Brookfield Cottage was fantastic. It’s 200 metres from the main house and has its own backyard and creek, so it feels like a private oasis. Tessa was awesome and extremely welcoming. She even left us a basket of fresh eggs from her own chicken laid that day. The cottage was spotless and well designed, we can’t wait to come back. A lovely family with a beautiful home, 5 stars! Staying at Tessa’s cottage for our wedding nearby was amazing! We loved to be able to relax in the tranquil setting, watch the chickens and be so comfortable with everything we needed. Tessa was incredibly accommodating, even leaving us a lovely bottle of bubbles to celebrate with! Summary: Tess was great to deal with. Nothing appeared to bother her. The welcome pack provided was much appreciated as we had arrived late in the evening and were unfamiliar with the area. The location is rural/countryside and a car with GPS is a must. Brookfield store is convenient and worth a visit for light refreshment or a few forgotten items. All you need for a few weeks stay is available in nearby Kenmore. (Coles, Woolworths, Liquor store, cafes etc.) A local park n ride within 5 km's opens up a whole range of destinations / activities using Translink. The local road infrastructure is good quality and the motorway network superb, putting many places (Gold Coast, Ipswich, Indooroopilly, golf courses, shopping mall) I could go on, within very easy reach. Day light arrives early in Brisbane and we were awakened daily to the sounds of colourful birds. The bedroom gets the early morning light, so if you like to sleep in the darkened room bring your own airline shade. If you are looking for somewhere to chill and enjoy peace and quiet, the countryside, Brookfield Cottage is worthy of serious consideration. Summary: A perfect example of how enjoy being accommodated away from home. The cottage, the environment and hosts were exactly what we wanted. I would not hesitate recommending their accommodation to anyone.

Summary: We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay here. The place is spacious, clean and modern with all the necessary amenities. There were even toys for our kids which they loved. Tessa is very welcoming and friendly and the location of the property is great. You feel like you are in the country but you are only a short ride from the city. The highlight for our family were the chickens in the garden. The children loved having them around and even got to feed them and collect the eggs. I highly recommend Brookfield as a place to stay and will definitely book it again if we return to Brisbane for a holiday.

Summary: We had the most wonderful stay at Brookfield Cottage & would not hesitate to re-book again. The hosts were lovely and organised the Cottage for us on short notice, which really helped us out. The photos do not do this place justice, as Brookfield Cottage is absolutely stunning & so spacious inside! It had such a warm homely feel and we were able to settle in so easily. We loved being greeted by the friendly chooks every day and the peaceful rural setting was perfect for some R&R. The bed and couches were super comfy! The fixtures, appliances and bed linen were all quality. We choose to cook most of our meals and the well-equipped kitchen was perfect as it contained everything we needed. There was also a larger spare fridge and washer nearby that we were able to use. We look forward to making some time to come back when I'm not training so I can enjoy this beautiful space even more. Summary: My wife and I stayed here for about 2.5 weeks recently and it was lovely. The cottage was immaculate and had a beautiful outlook. It was extremely quiet and relaxing. The owners provided everything we needed including sheets and towels and the fridge was even stocked with milk, bread, butter, jam and fresh eggs from their resident chooks. There was a laundry at our disposal and a lovely little porch area that got the sun for us to relax on. Very spacious and comfortable. Brookfield is an amazing area with lots of walking tracks and beautiful scenery but so close to the city. I couldn’t recommend this place any more!

Summary: I stay here frequently whilst traveling for business and can’t say enough about the property, the accommodations and the owners.
