Positive: I can't recommend Brookdale House highly enough. Herman and Kevin were very welcoming and hospitable, my room was great and really comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely. It's also in a very quiet neigbourhood. My flight wasn't until the afternoon so the hosts kindly let me stay and work in the lounge until it was time to leave, and provided tea!

Negative: Everything was great, and there wasn't anything I didn't like. It would have been handy to be able to plug in a charger by the bed, but a very minor observation.

Positive: This is my second stay at Brookdale House. It is comfortable, clean and well-managed. It is also very convenient, being close to my Cape Town office. Herman is a great host, and makes everyone feel at home. Ther staff are friendly and efficient. I will definitely book Brookdale House again.

Negative: The only negative, for me was that there was no remote for the air-con. It was very hot on our first night, and we were not able to use the air-con.

Positive: The host was welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was tailored to my preference and a vegetarian who loves having spicy breakfast ;) and I enjoyed interacting with the host's dog. The place is very clean and cosy.

Negative: The room was a bit cold. It would be great to have a heater in the room for winter.
