2 Bedroom Cottage in Plouguenast

Fuchsia Cottage has been fully refurbished to a high standard and has two fully carpeted bedrooms to sleep four people plus a cot. It sits in the beautiful Breton countryside with lovely walks and quiet country lanes. We have plenty of bars and restaurants, supermarkets, churches, banks and Boulangers within very short distances. There is plenty to do in and around our area to keep all ages entertained.
The ground floor comprises an open plan living area with English and French satellite television, dining area and a well equipped kitchen area with a gas cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, electric kettle and a coffee maker. An air source heat pump provides for the heating and air conditioning. There is a ground floor Shower room with walk in thermostatically controlled shower, vanity unit with wash basin and toilet. Upstairs there are two comfortable, carpeted bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds.
The beds will be made up ready for your arrival and we provide a bath towel for each guest. The towels are for interior use only so you will need to provide your own pool and beach towels.
Outside, there is a private sitting area with patio table and chairs and a barbecue.
A Travel Cot and highchair can be provided at no extra cost. Free Wifi Access.
Also on site is our three bedroomed gite, Laurel Cottage, which sleeps up to six people plus cot.
We do have our own animals including a few dogs and several cats and our guests are also welcome to bring their pets so long as they are well behaved and kept under control at all times. There is an additional charge of £50.00 (55 Euros) per pet for the duration of your stay.
Between the months of September to May any heating used is an additional charge. As well as the air source heat pump there is an electric heater in each of the bedrooms of this cottage.
Other than mentioned above, all costs are included in the price quoted except for electricity. We have inline meters in each cottage which are read upon your arrival and on the day of your departure. Units are charged at exactly the same price as we pay our Electricity Company, no profit is made on the charge whatsoever. Payment will be required on the day of departure.
We have an area at the bottom of the rear garden where we house a variety of animals. There are some long stayers but, a lot of the animals are rescues and we rehome where we can so, numbers and variations are not always the same. They all love company though and are very happy with any food scraps going.
There is a small play area in the rear garden with a swing set for younger children and in our field next to the swimming pool is a badminton set up for anyone to use.

Summary: We stayed just under a week and didn’t want to leave. Such a relaxing place with such wonderful hosts and the added bonus of the pottery studio and gorgeous dogs made it even better. We all made a piece to take home which we can’t believe we made. Thank you Gill for sharing your skills and patience with us. It was such a treat. Needless to say we already want to go back. x

Summary: We had a short but sweet stay with Gillian and Martin. They were very friendly and helpful hosts! Our children loved the pool, but even more so the 3 dogs and other (farm) animals : ) Gillian has her own crafts workshop (pottery but also other arts and crafts) and if we had spent more time here, we would have probably followed a pottery class. Looked like lots of fun. Thanks to Gill & Martin for the lovely stay!
