Positive: André’s property is truly exquisite. We had stayed a few different Portuguese cities and islands before this and this was honestly the first good night’s sleep we had. The bed was finally comfortable enough (and large!) and the air conditioning along with the dehumidifier and a fan to drown out any outside noise was a perfect combination we had been missing at other accommodations. The area is actually fairly quiet but a fan helped a lot. The kitchen was very well equipped—we made a few breakfasts and dinners. Usually vacation stays have some equipment but there’s always something they’re missing—not here! All appliances and dishes you could need, a new bag of coffee and a few snacks upon arrival. We utilized beach towels and relied upon the washer and dryer while packing light for our trip. The dryer takes some time so plan ahead! We really loved his personal guide to the island and utilized it in our planning. Everything was perfect and it was a wonderful place to relax in the evenings after days of exploration on this amazing island.

Negative: The only recommendation I have is to add some non-slip backing to the rugs upstairs in the bedroom, as they slide across the floor easily.
