Mesa Verde park entrance is just 1 mile away, Durango shopping and the train are just 37 miles away, Phil's World mountain biking trails are just 7 miles away away, and skiing is just 26 miles to Hesperus, 84 miles to Telluride, and 64 miles to Purgatory. Mancos is a short 10 min drive and Cortez is just 15 mins away. Traveling with adults who aren't just couples, or a bunch of kids? This house has 8 different beds (plus a futon) so guests don't have to share if they don't want to. Imagine relaxing on the back porch as you enjoy the sounds of nature and views of the La Plata Mountain Range. This property is located on top of rolling hills surrounded by cedars and pinion pines. The back porch overlooks 8 acres of wild property which you may explore. It is the prefect place to stay while visiting Mesa Verde National Park.
Inside you will find yourself surrounded by nurturing blue spruce and pine with oceanic greens and whites. Downstairs is a master bedroom suite with private sliding doors leading to a quiet yard. It has a California King bed, it’s own private bathroom, and a walk-in closet. Enjoy the feeling of rain in the glass shower or relax in the full size separate bathing tub with views onto the backyard. Heated tile floors and a beautiful marble countertop complete this bathroom.
Upstairs are 2 spacious bedrooms. One bedroom has 2 sets of sturdy bunkbeds (safety rated up to 400 lbs on both upper and lower bunks) and a double bed. The other bedroom has a queen bed and a private balcony overlooking the back patio with stunning La Plata Mountain views. Guests can enjoy these views from a small patio set on the balcony. The upstairs bedrooms share a full bath complete with a shower/tub combo, heated tile floors, and marble countertop.
The open floor plan downstairs hosts a large Italian leather sectional sofa, a 58" smart TV, 2 reading chairs, a futon, a full 8-10 person dining table, and a wrap around massive kitchen with breakfast counter. You will also find a 1/2 bath at the base of the stairs. The back patio is accessible from a door by the kitchen/dining room and sits directly beneath the massive kitchen windows. A comfortable loveseat and 2 chairs overlook the entire property and the La Plata Mountains.
Everything in this house is brand new. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and has a Kucht Professional Series range for exceptional cooking. There is a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and huge wrap-around granite countertop with breakfast bar. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, spices, and basic cooking/baking necessities. All pans, pots, mixing bowls, utensils, etc are available for use. This kitchen is a dream to cook in.

Summary: We are 2 adult couples who were thrilled with our 3-night stay at Cedar Mesa! The property looks and feels brand new and is exceptionally well laid out: main living area and primary bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms and a bath upstairs. The views east to the La Plata mountains were fabulous.The hosts provided everything we needed for our stay. In particular, this may be one of the best equipped kitchens we've encountered in a rental property! The location among the junipers is lovely and quiet, and you are only a couple miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde NP. Mancos is a cute little town and only ~10 miles away if you want to eat out (we enjoyed dinner from the food truck at the Fenceline Cidery). Great communications with the hosts. One of our best VRBO stays ever! We would certainly stay here again.

Summary: We had a great stay in Mancos and the house had everything that we needed. The layout was great and the kitchen stocked with the right utencils. The host also had a good selection of spices. The house was perfectly situated to Mese Verde and also close to Cortez so we could pop into town for dinner. We enjoyed the Loungin' Lizzard and Thai Cortez. Communication with Daphne was also great. She checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and she gave us the recommendation for Thai Cortez. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again if we are back in the area.

Summary: My friends and I stayed for a couple days for my wedding and it was so nice. The view is breathtaking and it is was my favorite place to relax after a busy weekend. Daphne, the owner, was SO kind and welcoming. I was transparent with her about having more guests than her maximum capacity and she accommodated accordingly and made sure they all had a bed to sleep in!!! It meant so much to me. I recommend this place 100/10. Thank you again Daphne :)
