Positive: The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect; close to where we needed to be, quiet at night for sleeping, and peaceful during the day for working/thinking. There is absolutely everything needed for a week's stay, and it is clean, bright and airy. Very comfortable place to stay, and easy to operate heating/lighting/cooker/washing machine/microwave. Everything has been considered for comfort and ease of use. I was really impressed and would re-book without hesitation. The double-aspect skylight windows are worth special mention for the views they afford of the landscape and the night sky, as well as their ease of use. Wonderful! Parking and access are easy and plenty of room for large car. Loved the sounds of the sheep and the bird life, and the rain on the slates.

Negative: The one and only aspect which I found at all uncomfortable (and only mildly, and because I am tall) was the shower room; the shower is in a small enclosure (but water temperature and supply absolutely excellent), and the toilet is not in a great position for tall people, being right under the roof slope by a dormer. The room has been laid out to perfectly accommodate the shape of the roof, and I understand exactly why the furniture and fittings are where they are, but it does not necessarily accommodate the height or girth of taller/larger guests. That said, I would still return, since the pro- far outweighs the con- in every other aspect of the entire accommodation.

Summary: Great hosts who offer extremely comfortable, considered accommodation w/ all that is needed. 5*

Positive: Beautiful place, all your home comforts. Well equipped kitchen and all in excellent condition. Communication and instruction were great. Highly recommended.

Positive: The property was absolutely amazing. It was done tastefully and maintained very well. It was spotlessly clean all throughout the property. There were some games and books which the kids enjoyed. Wish we had brought some books as they had a book exchange policy and my mother started on a book but had to leave it behind because we didn't have anything to exchange 😄 There is a small garden with a bench where you can enjoy a cup of tea or have a meal if you wish, as the garden is also very well maintained. The beds and pillows were very comfy. I would go back just for that 😁. They had also left some Welsh cakes and we thought it was a very nice touch. We visited, Colwyn bay beach, Zip world at Betws-y-Coed and the Pontcysyllte aqueduct from there easily. They also had some other lovely suggestions for visiting in their guidebook. Maybe next time we stay there we can do those, cos we will definitely be booking with them again 🙂

Negative: Access to the property is via a very narrow country road. I'm unsure it would be easy for anyone on public transport to get there. But once you get there the place is well worth it.
