Summary: We have stayed here a couple times before, and it never gets old. The house is extremely well maintained, perfectly clean, and super cozy. It is right off the Blue ridge parkway, so there are a few ways to get to it. There's also plenty to do nearby in terms of outdoor activities... We hope to return sometime soon!

Summary: We enjoyed our brief stay here. Everything was accurate per the listing, house was clean and fully equipped, and we appreciated the dog-friendly aspect. The owner communications were quick and accommodating. The only change we noticed from the listing is that the pictured horse pasture is now a pumpkin patch.

Summary: This is one of the best rentals we've ever had! The house was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. It was the perfect layout for myself, husband, two kids, and a dog. The house was not lacking for things to do. Our kids loved playing in the yard and the basement area was stocked with yard games to play. The fire pit was so nice in the evening. Inside, there were games, puzzles, and books to enjoy. Our favorite part of the house was the huge porch spanning the entire back of the house. The view down into the valley was so peaceful. Even though there are other houses around, we didn't see or hear anybody else. It was private and relaxing - just what we were looking for! We hope to be back next time we need a relaxing, stress free getaway!

Summary: Absolutely loved this house! Just what we needed close to our kids’ camp and all on one floor. Open layout, plenty of room, lots of light, great large deck, perfect yard for our puppy, sky full of stars, near great hiking, and so quiet & calm. We loved sitting outside in the morning and evenings when it was cooler and loved how peaceful it was. Stocked well with all needed appliances, and the rooms & bathrooms were perfect sizes. Beds were comfortable and always love having a Roku/smart TV when it was raining or too hot outside, or just wanted to catch up on shows or movies. Would 100% recommend this house and would stay here again. If you have kids at camp cheerio, it’s so close (10 minutes) and a great place fo get away while your kids are at camp. Didn’t have to contact the host as no issues. Thank you for sharing your house with us!!

Summary: This home is immaculate the moment you drive in! It’s absolutely perfect for a wine weekend getaway. The home is accessible (there are 3 stairs in the back and a few single steps around the home) but very sturdy and well built. You’ll be obsessed with the back porch instantly, the view is like no other. The owners have really thought of everything! Comfortable seats everywhere, sturdy benches at the fire pit, and even a sliding gate on the deck to keep pups and kids safe. I slept so well in the soft, cozy beds and loved the walk in showers. This home is perfect for families and gives that cabin feel, but with all the accessibility and convenience of home. Could not recommend enough, and hope to stay again in the future! There’s wineries and breweries just a few miles away, and even though it seems so remote it’s not that far from a town with restaurants and a grocery store. If you are thinking about renting it, trust me - it’s a good idea!

The Blue Ridge Highway was closed right by the house when we visited, but Google Maps led us straight there without any issues using a different route. Will probably stay again the next time we visit Sparta!
