Summary: We loved this property as a location for our family get together. The house was really nice and the kitchen is well-equipped. The only issues were the lack of lights on the very steep stairs ( and over 120 stair steps) down to the boathouse, and the description stating 2 queen beds in the boathouse loft, when one is a futon ( not great for my 6’4” son).

Summary: We were a big group! The two houses accommodated all of us. An open concept, kitchen, dining-room and living room allowed for plenty of togetherness, yet the kids could play downstairs and sleep in the bunk room—a real bonus. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, and included a cupboard of spices, and various oils. Lots of pantry space. There were hair dryers in the bathrooms as well as little soaps (things that we thought we needed to bring). The kayaks kept the teens busy and they never mentioned that the water was chilly! Do know there are well over 100 steps to the lake from the main house. We all felt in better shape by the end of the week! We did a big grocery shopping 30 min away in Ithaca, but there’s a small decent supermarket right in Ovid. A great vacation home for a large family.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful property. Right on Lake Cayuga with stunning views from the deck of the main house and the dock down below. Plenty of room for a large extended family gathering, with especially fun space for the cousins to stay together in the bunk room. Newly renovated, with a huge, well-equipped kitchen perfect for cooking for a large group. Boat house is ~100 steps down, which was great for members of our group who preferred some privacy. Outside fireplace was fun for evening gatherings and s’mores. Very close to wineries and breweries. Property management was very responsive. We would love to return!
