Positive: Beautiful view of the ocean and Sicily, exceptionally clean and comfortable. The apartment was so well decorated and in a quiet location. Our host was extremely helpful and hospitable, she answered all questions promptly and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We were treated kindly and made to feel so welcome. Highly recommend this stay to anyone travelling to this gorgeous coastline.

Positive: The apartment is lovely and has a spacious balcony with a great view over to Sicily. Esmeralda is very friendly and wanting to please. She did an incredible job of our laundry taking it away and doing it and deliverying it back beautifully pressed. The apartment is clean and we had everything we needed to cook at night.

Negative: Villa San Giovanni itself is not a place to visit for a holiday and is only a port to ferry across to Sicily - we thought from different google searches it had lovely beaches but the beaches are filthy as is the town with rubbish everywhere. The information on the property stated it was 700 metres from the train, which is incorrect it is 47 minutes walk or 15 euro taxi. There are 3 sets of outdoor steep open tread stairs to go up the the property - we were not aware of this and was a little daunting going up and down particulary with luggage ( the son of th ehost did do this for us on arrival)
