Positive: Everything about the property is good except for their payment policy which I'll detail in the next section

Negative: The property is listed as payment at the property. When I booked I immediately got a call from their office to make some advance payment to block the room. I requested them that I would make the advance payment two days later and if they had this way of operating, they should have clearly mentioned on the booking.com listing. I anyways paid some advance amount to secure my booking in this peak season. However on arriving at the property they asked me to pay the balance amount to let me check into their system. Understand this, that I am already at your property and I am going to stay for two days. I found it a bit weird as almost in all my travels in India or abroad where I have made bookings from booking.com I have always paid on checkout. I didn't like their borderline pushy behavior for the payment of the balance amount. I anyways paid in 2 hours of my arrival for my peace of mind and to focus on enjoying the trip . I would suggest them to be transparent about their payment policy in the booking.com listing. This kind of behavior about payment terms reflects badly about them. They might have had some bad experiences with other customers cancelling last moment, but it shouldn't be generalized for all. If they list their payment policy clearly on booking.com listing they would definitely avoid any last minute cancellations from other customers and would have the potential willing customers have clarity and transparency.
