Positive: Absolutely brilliant weekend in this property in Aberdour. We were away for an Xmas trip 🎄 to visit family and this was perfect. The owners were lovely and had put up a Christmas tree in the property. Everything was well kitted out and always warm! The property is spacious and brilliant that every bedroom has an en-suite. Beautiful location right by the beach and very easy connections into Edinburgh. Lovely vibes and we would definitely recommend.

Positive: the cottage was clean and lovely and warm when we arrived . The rooms were well set out with everything we needed.

Negative: parking was a challenge ,but the host explained where we could park if we had more than 1 car .

Negative: The owners don’t appear to live in the UK. We had a missing travel cot (we pre booked it) and no house book/link regarding info on WiFi. The two numbers we had for the owners did not connect. I messaged via Booking.com and after an hour or so I did hear from the owners, cot was delivered by the very lovely cleaner but no messages were replied to, we didn’t get given the WiFi info, had no idea if we were allowed to use the trampoline out the back (my kids did anyway!). Lack of info and communication let them down a bit here.

Positive: We had a lovely stay at Blacksands Seaview Cottage. The house itself is very spacious, clean, and cosy, with extremely comfortable beds and plenty of room to relax. The location is perfect, peaceful, close to the sea, and even with some nearby construction work, we couldn’t hear any noise at all.

Negative: There were a few small issues worth noting: a nail was sticking up in the conservatory door which could pose a safety risk, the dishwasher wasn’t working, and one bedroom door handle was loose. Additionally, there was no key for the conservatory/back door, which could be a concern in case of needing a fire exit.

Summary: A lovely and comfortable stay in a spacious, well-located house with just a few minor maintenance

Positive: The location is great, it's very near to the beach. Very clean accommodation. Good quality of finish. A great view of Edinburgh over the other side of the water. A delightful, peaceful, place to stay. We'll definately be going back there again! 👍

Negative: My wife said that there were no mains sockets next to mirrors so she found using the hair dryer difficult. I would have liked carpets in the lounge and bedrooms to make it more homely. The TV didn't have BBC1 or any of the normal TV channels and far as I could tell. BUT - These negatives are vastly outweighed by the positives 😊

Summary: One of the best places we have ever been to in Scotland. Highly recommended.

Positive: We stayed in this cottage with our family on July 29-30, we are very happy that we rented this cottage. Because the location of this apartment is on the coast, the sea is visible from the bedroom window, the rooms, beds are very clean, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, each room has a private bathroom. In the garden there are various flowers and a trampoline for children to play and a mini football field. There is a private parking lot for the car. We got up early in the morning and walked along the seashore. Overall, it was a very good cottage worth the price. Many thanks to the owner who made all the necessary arrangements for the guests.

Summary: A very comfortable apartment worth the price, we spent a wonderful day in this cottage.
