Positive: Just being in the property was a treat. We loved looking out to sea, walking the Blackhead path, and being able to bunker down with a coal fire.

Negative: Would have liked a radio to listen to.

Positive: Beautiful location, unique opportunity to stay in the lighthouse keepers home. Serene and relaxing, with a beautiful walk along the cliffs and down along the beachfront. The facilities were excellent and we would highly recommend a stay. Short train ride into Belfast if you don’t want to take the car. Thanks to Pamela for her patience in waiting for us to arrive.

Negative: Nothing we didn’t like, but make sure you know the route to get there. It is down some narrow roads, so read the email which gives you clear instructions.

Summary: Unique opportunity with views to die for.

Positive: The lighthouse was such a unique place to stay! The views were amazing! Pamela was very friendly and flexible with our checkout plans. Would definitely recommend this place to others and hope to stay again ourselves.

Positive: Beautiful location. Pam our host was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are big and furnished to a good standard.

Negative: Some of the kitchen utensils need replacing eg. can opener and kitchen utility knife. As it’s a heritage site it would be nice to see some of the plaster work and paint work repaired.

Summary: It’s a unique place to stay and being a working light house makes it very different experience.
