Positive: The cottage is situated in an idyllic village not far from Kettering. The owner sent us very detailed info on how to find the place. We also were welcomed with tea/coffee/sugar/milk/biscuits etc. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Have already booked it again as it suited our needs perfectly. The surrounding countryside is wonderful. We didn't use the village pub/restaurant but it looked nice. We did have dinner at a place called the Red Lion at Cranford only a couple of miles away. Lovely food and surroundings. Excellent place and highly recommended.

Negative: Nothing. Some people have mentioned the downstairs bathroom, but this is detailed so can't see why anyone would go if that was a problem to them. Steps are very steep to be fair but fine for most able-bodied folk as long as you take care. But it's an ancient old cottage so what do people expect! If you want modern, go to a Premier Inn.

Summary: Beautiful cottage in lovely village, very welcoming and had everything we needed.

Positive: Cozy Cottage for a peaceful New Year's escape to the Country - perfect for our family of three, plus dog. Visited Lyvedon Manor NT for a nice walk; Oundle, a lovely market town with its famous school; Geddington with its Eleanor Cross and a cheeky drive through the Ford beside the Bridge. Nice local church in Grafton Underwood itself and thatched cottages everywhere!
