Positive: Very nice new place to stay. It is a family run place with a relaxed atmosphere. The lady of the house is an excellent cook and every meal was truly a great culinary experience. The refreshments include beer, which I always appreciate after a photo walk in the woods. The entrance to Tangkoko NP is about 1 km away, but it is possible to use the car transport for early morning bird walks and even afternoon "photo-hunting". Very good communication in English is also a pleasure.

Negative: It would be good to add at least a small table on the terrace by the bungalow and somehow make the dining room a little more cozy.

Positive: Family owned lodge built in 2024, they were super friendly, the father took us for two guided tours in tangkoko park. One in the evening for tarsier and tarantula, and one in the morning for birds. He was really gentle compared to other guides that used the flashlight directly on the tarsier and scared it. The food was amazing, one of the best meals we had during 8 weeks in Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines

Positive: Room: The stay was amazing, if only we booked more than 1 night! The room was beautiful, it was simple but had everything we needed. The room is very well equipped, with aircon and hot water in the showers. The beds were comfy, we had really good sleep after trekking in Tangkoko. Ardy and his family are amazing, friendly and always there to talk or help you out if needed. We really enjoy talking to them and spending time with them during our stay! And don't worry, they speak really good english too! Guided Tours: We requested for guided tours and his dad and a friend were our guides. They really went all out to ensure we ticked the animals we wanted to see off our list, they are also very good at spotting the animals! Thanks for bringing us through the different terrains and thick vegetation through the rain and sun, we really appreciate it a lot, and also thanks for letting us take our time to capture stunning photographs of the wildlife there. They always ensure that we are well taken care of throughout the whole day! Food: To be honest, I had almost no expectations for the food but WOW they had 4 delicious dishes waiting for us for every meal and also juice. The food was really good and filling, they really ensured that we were well fed for every meal. I would strongly strongly recommend anyone staying there to add on meals, you will not regret it! Overall: Please stay here, it will definitely be one of the most amazing stay in Manado! Thank you all for helping me with my camera lens which got very wet and condensed inside after an adventure out in the rain. Thanks for also preparing a raincoat for my camera during our mangrove trip and keep checking with me if my camera is doing good! Also, thanks for helping me to catch the hornets/ wasps during dinner! If we go back to Tangkoko again, we will definitely choose to stay here again! :D

Negative: Nothing actually, I would maybe recommend putting 1 or 2 more hangers in the room for people with more stuff to hang up!

Positive: As a spontaneous decision I decided to book our trip to Tangkoko rather last minute. Which meant that I also had little time to arrange for transportation etc. Ardy arranged this all for me in the matter of perhaps two messages. Furthermore he and his father are both excellent guides and also very hospitable. The place itself is obviously not a 5 star hotel, but certainly the best looking place in the main street. The rooms are very new, very clean and very quiet. Also they are next to a little creek so it gives quite a serene feeling.

Positive: Lovely stay and very comfortable room (except the bed) Ardy and his family are great people and show an awesome hospitality towards their guest.

Negative: Bed in our room wasn’t comfortable and squeezing the whole night with every move you make. They definitely need to fix this issue while we where unable to sleep well.

Positive: Staff are very friendly, room simple and clean. Location at the entrance of the village, only 20min from the beach and the National Park of Tangkoko. Delicious Lunch and Dinner.

Positive: This place opened only a month ago and it is still somewhat of a hidden gem: cozy cottages that face away from the road and towards a small river and the rainforest, AC, brand-new bathrooms with warm water and complimentary water and mosquito repellant. The breakfast was different each day and delicious, as were the home-cooked lunch and dinner! The owner and his son (avid nature photographer and specialised in birding tours around and outside of Indonesia) are both excellent guides and we saw lots of wildlife in one single day (yaki, kuskus, tarsiers, hornbill, kingfisher, ...) We had a lovely time, not only because of the hotel, but especially because the family who owns the place was so welcoming and kind! Thanks for everything :)
