Nestled on 6 acres and located directly off Canandaigua’s prestigious West Lake Road is “Birch Lodge.” Cozy, Modern, & Convenient, this rental has it all. Updated in early 2019 and professionally decorated, this rental is perfect for a weekend getaway, wine tasting, or family vacation at the lake. This rental is perfectly located in the middle of the lake and 15 minutes to downtown Canandaigua & Naples. This is a remarkable lake property with lots of charm and character.
This home features (4) bedrooms and (4) full and (2) half baths, sleeping (10) comfortably with queen bunks in the lower level, sleeping (12) in its entirety.
The inside of the Lodge features all knotty pine ceilings and walls. Lots of windows give a bright and airy feel. The property is positioned in the woods allowing beautiful lake views paired with the privacy of the woods.
The first floor features a chef kitchen complete with a Viking Stove & Oven. A dining room offers a large modern farmhouse table for formal dining and hangout area. Connected to the kitchen is a family room with a SMART TV, cable, and WIFI and a sun porch that leads to an outdoor entertaining area. On the main level, we have one bedroom, the Boat Room. This room has a detached full-bath directly next to it.
The second-floor features (3) additional bedrooms all with their own full bathroom. Each bedroom has a walk-in open closet with lots of space for clothing and luggage or a porta-crib if needed.

The lower level of Birch Lodge features another cozy hang-out area complete with couch, Smart TV, Farmhouse dining table, ping pong table, Queen bunkbeds, and half bath. This level walks out to the patio where you can find a beautiful grass area for lawn games and lounging.
A short walk down to the waterfront, features 100 feet of lake front equipped with a full boat house. The boat house features string lights, a half bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, and storage for lake gear. While we don’t allow our guests to use the Pontoon boat parked in our slip, there is room for you to dock your boat while you stay at the Lodge. There are also two SUPs, floating island raft, and Sun Fish sailboat also available for use.
There are a couple outdoor security cameras to monitor the property when we are not there. We also have a dog so if you are extremely allergic, this house is not a good fit.

Summary: WOW! This property is absolutely amazing! Stayed from Saturday to Saturday and wished we did not have to leave! The house is incredibly comfortable with so many different areas to relax and have some peace and quiet if you wanted. There was 10 of us in the house and we never felt like we were on top of each other. Meg was more than helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our group. I brought my brand new sailboat with me and meg was concerned about how much wake there would be on the dock from all the boat traffic, so she just went ahead and had a mooring ball dropped in the water just for me! Top notch move that made me feel very comfortable keeping my boat there. Anything we needed was already in the house

Summary: Our large family loved our stay at Birch Lodge. The home was so welcoming. We especially loved the lakeside area and the yard games. So many fun things to do! The kitchen is so well-stocked, and each living space beautifully designed. It seems there was nothing the hosts didn't think of!

Summary: Our group of 10 stayed here for a week in June 2023. To say that we loved it would be an understatement. This house is better than it appears in the photos. The host Meg is amazing and goes out of her way to give you a resort like feeling at a lake house - welcome gift bag and tons of extra touches everywhere. We loved both of the firepits, the outdoor seating with fantastic views and the yard games.The only drawback is that it is a steep walk to the water. It's not a long walk but it's steep and not elderly friendly. Other than that everything is absolutely perfect at this house. When we come back to Canandaigua, we won't even look at other houses. Thank you Meg for a fantastic vacation!

Summary: Thank you for remembering our 50th anniversary. Your lodge was impressive. All of our family had a great time. It was easy to get to the PGA Tournament and back again. You have the lodge set up beautifully, both of our son cook, and could not have been more pleased with the kitchen. The grand kids enjoyed the lake and made use of the kayak and paddle boards. We had a wonderful time at the lake.

Summary: We were a group of 8 adults, 4 kids ages 6 to 10, and one infant, celebrating our parents’ 70th birthdays this year. This was a wonderful family property- we spent the majority of the week at the waterfront, enjoying swimming in the very clear water, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, floats and fishing. We enjoyed some day trips: hiking at Watkins Glen state park, Ropes course at Bristol Mountain Aerial adventures, exploring the gardens at Sonnenburg Mansion, blueberry and sunflower picking at a nearby farm. The area is beautiful, rural and mostly agricultural. The house is well stocked. We cooked all dinners in and found all the tools we needed. The dining room and outdoor patio were both large enough to seat our party of 13. All of the bedrooms (even the basement bunk room) were comfortable and set away enough from the living areas to allow for early bedtimes or sleeping in late if desired. There are 2 washers, 2 dryers, and 2 fridges- so convenient with a large group! Don’t hesitate to rent this property!

Summary: Birch Lodge is truly lovely. A spacious house with a gorgeous view of the lake, a very well-stocked kitchen, nicely appointed rooms, and even a fun selection of toys for the little ones. The host was quick to communicate with a few simple questions, none of which involved any problem with the house. Would come back again if we’re ever lucky enough to be in this picturesque location.

Summary: Our week here was nothing short of amazing. This rental and experience with Meg is a poster child for what a VRBO experience should be. The house has everything…. Everything that a family would need. Items we’ve packed before for rentals weren’t needed here. The house itself is beautiful and every room has something to offer. Lake access is like walking into a pool. We will be back!

Summary: Such a nice escape from the city and another great week relaxing again at birch lodge! Couldn’t have asked for a better time at the lake and will cherish the memories paddle boarding & kayaking with friends almost every morning. Love the addition of new fire pit so much that we ate every dinner outside around it! Already looking forward to next summer at birch lodge.
