Summary: This venue was perfectly suited for a group of 10 friends to gather to celebrate a special birthday. In addition, the farmhouse provided a wonderful venue for a 20+ person gathering for one of our days there. The location in regards to town was ideal. The amenities within the farmhouse were more than sufficient. Guests should note that there is not a 'proper' oven, and plan accordingly. Additionally, two of the bedrooms (a total of 5 single beds) are located up a flight of stairs. There are plenty of toilets to accommodate large groups, but the showers are shared by several (also just a note for guests to be aware of... we made the situation work with ease in our case). The fireplace is not currently available due to insurance issues... guests should also plan accordingly. The outdoor area and the dock right on the lake make for stunning sunrises! We would return in a heartbeat!!!!! The town of Nieuwkoop is charming and has several markets and restaurants to take advantage of. Please do plan on attending the Saturday market in the town center as well! And we made great use of all the bikes available on the bike path across the lane from the house.

Summary: We enjoyed our 10-days vacation at the Old Farm. The place is as lovely as in the pictures, and it is ideal for families with children. Very well equipped and located 5 mins from village center, where there are several restaurants and supermarkets. Location is also ideal for most tourist attractions in the Netherlands - 30 mins to Amsterdan and Hague, an hour to Efteling etc. Floris was extremly friendly and helpful, both before our arrival and during the visit. A few minor things need to be pointed out in advance but should not in any way stop you from renting the Old Farm -- Second floor is acessible only by steep stairs, which may be difficult for young children or older people. There is no oven, only a toaster-oven, so consider it when menu-planning. Last, since you are by the lake, there are a lot of insects and bees, be prepared. All in all, we highly recommend the Old Farm as a charming, comfortable vacation home for families.

Summary: This summer our family had a chance to spend 3 weeks at this wonderful old Farm House. This home was perfect for our big family, with enough room to spare. The house had a lot of old world charm and with a dock that is located on the lake right at the end of the backyard. We did some fishing, swimming and boating daily. The children found so many things to do and play in the backyard. We all enjoyed watching the sail boat races happen right in the backyard. One evening we had a touring boat pick us up from the deck in the backyard and we toured around the lake and canals and they dropped us off for dinner at Jachthaven, Thijsterman. This restaurant is a great outdoor and indoor place right on the lake marina in Nieuwkoop. This is a picturesque old village with some great restaurants. We hope that someday we can do this again. There is so much to see and to do just around Nieuwkoop. Also it is only about 45 minutes to an hour away from Amsterdam or Den Haag. The Farm House was the right place to spend our wonderful 2013 vacation with our family, and close enough to the rest of our family and friends for us to see them. Hope to be back again soon. Summary: We had an excellent stay in the farmhouse at Nieuwkoop. The house was large, family-friendly and quirky, with a beautiful view from the back garden. It was well-located as a base to travel around the Netherlands, provided you have a car. Would recommend it to friends.

Summary: nous revenons d'un séjour de 4 jours dans cette jolie maison le temps nous a paru trop court... Maison bien aménagée spacieuse, commodités ( 3 salles de bain). emplacement enchantesque, vue sur le lac , pelouse où l'on peut faire des séances de bronzing..... et les environs sont à visiter à vélo ou .....vous êtes à 35 kms d'amsterdam si vous voulez quitter la campagne Aux alentours possibilité de louer un bateau et de faire du kayak - à noter que le proprio très sympa et parlant couramment le français mets à notre disposition son petit bateau avec un moteur ( prendre le Honda que nous avons réussi à démarrer) afin de faire le tour du lac ne pas louper également le petit marché du samedi matin où l'on peut de rendre à pied ou en bateau il y a également sur place un supermarché où vous trouverez de tout enfin tout pour réussir des week ends ou vacances de rêves pas très loin de la France en famille ou entre copains je vous recommande fortement cette adresse

Summary: We had a great in this old farm house. It is located at the edge of a small village not far from Amsterdam with direct access to the lake. There was everything we wanted, like a nice and well-equipped kitchen for cooking and enough space indoors and outdoors for having meals together with our group of 10 persons. Additionally, there were many things that you can do, like playing table tennis or video games. And of course, not to forget, there was a motor boat. Really great! You can do trips to the village or just cruise over the lake and explore the nearby nature. Things you can do nearby: In Nieuwkoop you can rent kayaks and go on some routes through small canals between the fields and grasslands. Also, Amsterdam is not far, if you go there by car. We did this a couple of times. Altogether, it was a pleasent and relaxing stay in the old farm house in Nieuwkoop. Unfortunately, we only were there for one week. If you go there with young children, even better: There are so many toys for playing indoors, outdoors and in the lake. It will not get boring.

Summary: Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Calme assuré, paysage magnifique à seulement 30 mn d'Amsterdam et des grandes villes hollandaises. Les prestations étaient à la hauteur des descriptions d'Abritel avec la bonne surprise de la salle de jeu du 1er étage qui a comblée de bonheur nos enfants. Très grande maison idéale famille nombreuse ou 2 familles. Propriétaire parlant français très sympathique
