The hotel itself is charming, with traditional Chinese decor that adds so much character and cultural depth to the experience. It offers a peaceful and authentic atmosphere, perfect for anyone looking to experience a more traditional side of Beijing. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—always ready to help with a smile. One standout feature was the free laundry service and the availability of food and beverages 24/7, which made our stay especially convenient. The food was fantastic! The zha jiang mian was absolutely delicious and breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty local dishes. It was a real treat to wake up to such an authentic spread each morning. They also had some lovely activities for kids, such as making cotton candy and feeding fish, which kept the little ones entertained and happy.

Positive: Staff was very considerate. We only stayed one night but we had early trip the next day for Great Wall. Since we couldn't enjoy the breakfast, they packed food for us to bring in the van. Loved the effort put into taking care of us 🙏 will definitely stay again

Positive: Very modern & also traditional. The room had electric lighting, curtains & even a toilet seat. Yet you could take a traditional Chinese tea on the rooftop & you were amongst beautiful plants & flowers. It felt like you were not in the middle of Beijing at all as just all so calm as was the feel of the whole hotel. The staff were there for anything that was needed and loved chatting to them over breakfast on mornings they didn’t have to pack me up with food for a tour.

Negative: Nothing at all I didn’t like.

Positive: The breakfast, afternoon tea and supper was great, all are included with no extra charges. Even we came back to the hotel at around 9pm, the staff prepared our “afternoon tea” for us. It is very kids-friendly too. They let the kids make cotton candy. My children love it very much. The room features smart design, allowing voice control of lighting, curtains, air conditioning, and more — seamlessly blending technology with the traditional courtyard style.

Negative: The room is a little bit small.

The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel/ courtyard itself is beautiful - but what makes the difference are the staff who were warm and kind (particularly to my parents and kids).
