Summary: Great location to tour a restored medieval castle and take drives through the Pyrenees! The castle is amazing and in very good condition. We took drives up to the Pyrenees the office of tourism recommended which we highly suggest you visit first it’s easy to find right in the main center. Breakfast was delicious every morning with yogurt and grains, and fresh homemade jams and fresh breads plus orange juice. The hosts do not speak English but we got along and everything we needed just fine!

Summary: A 25 min walk from the railway station, I knew this and it's all a gentle rise. Very friendly couple who know as little English as I know French yet we communicated fine. My room was on the second floor which along with adjacent bathroom was 'my' area. I didn't think I'd paid for breakfast but was provided with a nice range: baguette & croissant, preserves (the fig one from their own garden), tub of yogurt and of sweet apple sauce, orange juice, coffee and hot milk. I'll deffo stay again. And Foix castle and the old town beneath it are out of Walt Disney (that is intended as a compliment)
