Experience Providence from the unique perspective of your own floating yacht that has been renovated in the style of an older sailing ship from the 1700’s! Nestled in a protected marina in Providence Harbor, our yacht is fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities of home! Our location is the most secure marina in Rhode Island. We are nestled inside of the Hurricane Barrier and are visible when driving along Interstate 195.
Located in a very secure and gated marina, our houseboat is just minutes away from downtown Providence’s most popular attractions: Waterfire, Brown University, Johnson & Wales, the East Side, The Providence Place Mall, and the Providence Convention Center. Our convenient location makes it easy for you reach points of interest along the waterfront on foot. Go ahead and rent or bring your car, this rental has a FREE parking space for it in an off-site lot!
We provide all linens and towels so there is no need to worry about laundry . This yacht has two air-conditioners ( in the main living room and the master bedroom) and heat from space heaters for your comfort in all seasons. All this for less than the price of the smallest rooms at any of the nearby downtown waterfront hotels!
Our yacht has a master stateroom with a a queen bed, a forward v berth that accomodates two more guests and two sofa beds in the main living room that convert to twin beds at night for 2-4 additional guests. Additionally there is a small kitchen with a 3 burner electric stove and full sized refrigerator. All pots/pans, dishes, silverware and an assortment of glasses are included. Beside the kitchen is a common half bathroom with an electric head and vanity/sink. An additional half bathroom with a shower is located in the master bedroom.
Please note that guests should bring their own Bluetooth Sound system if they wish to have music on board.
The boat is in a well protected part of the marina. At night the waters are very calm and some guests even find that a bit of gentle swaying relaxes them and makes for a very restful sleep.
After a long day of touring the city there is nothing better than relaxing on your own private sun deck with a cold drink in hand, listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean as you enjoy the fantastic views..
We offer different rates depending on the season and depending on the occasion. Our standard summer rates reflect an occupancy of 4 people maximum for overnight stays. For guests looking to have a larger gathering, we offer a 'Function' rate which reflects having a larger crowd aboard. Function rates apply to parties where there are more than 8 visitors at any one time. Due to the wear and tear on the boat and the increased water/electrical usage by having more people aboard, we also reflect that in the rate and appreciate your understanding in this matter. Summary: We had a great time on this boat, it is truly an incredibly unique downtown experience. There were some minor safety issues when moving about the boat that should be addressed. The low entry and ceiling height makes it difficult for tall guests. The toilet was barely used and it did back up. Turning on the AC prior to our arrival would've been a nice touch. We all had a blast on the deck of the boat and we all slept well. It was a nice change of pace from the typical hotel, we enjoyed it.

Summary: This was such a fun alternative lodging options! We went into this rental with our eyes wide open - this was either going to be a really great idea or a total disaster. We read the other reviews and viewed the pictures. We were just looking for a fun girls weekend away for 2. This was absolutely perfect. We loved being in the marina and venturing into the city. It was awesome to sit at the table on the deck and look out at the other boats and the water. The bed was great - just definitely bring an eye mask and ear plugs if you are a restless sleeper. The bathrooms were fine and I actually took a pretty decent shower! We didn't use the kitchen for more than keeping food and drinks cool in the fridge and cutting up fruit. You probably wouldn't want to try to cook meals on the boat, but you might be able to. We didn't use the second bedroom at all since it was really musty and dank smelling. We kept that door closed. If you had 2 more people, they could sleep on the 2 futons in the main cabin, but I'm not sure you could really comfortably fit more than that on this boat. But overall, as long as you go into this rental understanding that this is almost like renting a camper, not a house or hotel, this is a really fun alternative. Don't expect perfection - sure things could be fixed up, this is not a brand new yacht. But it sure beats staying in a boring non-descript hotel. We loved waking up on our boat and going back to our boat at night.
